Lunar: Dragon Song for $30 TRU YMMV

I may have just gotten lucky, or maybe this is wider spread than I think. I was at Toys R Us to pick up the new Castlevania, when Lunar D.S. with a 29.99 price tag caught my eye. Knowing full well this should've been priced at 39.99 I grabbed that instead and headed for the checkout. It still scanned for 39.99 but due to the mistake on the price tag, I got it for 29. again, YMMV but I thought maybe some of you might want the heads up.

Best Buy had it for $30 as well when I went to pick up Lost in Blue. I passed on it since my wallet was yelling at me. :\

I know Best Buy over here also had Lunar for $29.99 aswell. So if anyone doesn't want to try TRU, you can always go over to BB for the same price.
I'm betting this game is going to drop VERY quickly judging by the reviews it is getting from critics and fans alike.
Yeah.... it's pretty bad, I've had it a week and the combat system has kept me from playing more than an hour so far.

Advanced Wars DS however is amazing.:D

I bought it for $40 and completed it

DO NOT buy this game, at all. Period. It's just horrible.

The entire game is basically holding down the R button during battles.

If you have any smidgen of a thought of buying it, smother it now.

Get Castlevania and enjoy life (and gaming) instead.

Put a rubberband on the R button chief ;)

Buy the game at Best Buy with a RED magazine coupon and you have a good chance of getting it for $19.99 + tax.

Sounds like it. Man, my list of DS games to get is really growing, I just want to wait for some deals...CAG has invaded my soul permanently. Waiting for:

Castlevania
Advance Wars
Kirby Canvas Curse
Trauma Center

Defending the game is a surefire sign that you probably don't like gaming period.

I repeat, don't buy this game. Get something else instead.

I got Lunar: Dragon Song from Best Buy for $19.99 + tax using the RED $10 off coupon. The game is definitely worth my $20 IMO, but no more than that. I'm actually enjoying the game right now. :/

nnthomas, it isn't the worst game on the planet....my biggest beef with the game is you have to waste twice as much time with the battles because you must choose either expierence or items that you will recieve after winning the battle.

I mainly play it while messing around on the computer, so I don't really care so much...and still get to enjoy the story and what not :)

Don't bother with the "items", just do the entire game in Virtue Mode, as you find pretty much all the equipment you find in shops in those various blue chests, rendering those stupid jobs useless.

The story - non-existant; it's essentially a watered down, really really really really gimped version of Silver Star Story's, but without the "memory", as the game is easily forgettable.

I just think that for an RPG it's not worth the hassle, go find another title for the DS instead, and with the recent releases of Lost in Blue, Trauma Center and Castlevania, you shouldn't have too hard of a time.

The only reason I could even see buying this game is if you're a collector and want a complete DS collection, but even then that's reaching it.

The deal is appreciated though, OP, don't get me wrong

Maybe I'm just pissed I didn't wait out, because I knew it would be bad from previews I read, and having completed the game, wish I could take the game back and get a refund :p

But I'm a sucker for portable RPGs, it's pretty much all I have for my GBA collection

Even if this game did get a price drop, it would be what, $10 or $20? So getting it $20 around launch is a good price. Really this game is not as bad as some people suggested.
