I finished up final fantasy IV advance the other day, and opened up the lunar ruins. Is is worth it to go through them? I loved the game, and it was very satisfying to finish up the story line, but I just can't seem to get motivated to go through the lunar ruins, I feel like I should be through with this game now.
For those who have gone through them, is it worth it? Is there any kind of reward?

personally ive never been tempted to do the after storyline stuff in final fantasy, personally i dont feel im missing anything. if you've already beaten the final boss, what good do the more powerful pieces of equipment good for? i do believe there is an insanely stronger side-boss in there, but i'm really not sure it provides anything for the story, just you saying to yourself "holy crap! i beat umm..neo-something-third form!

I have to agree with the above poster. It's like... why?

In FFVII I beat all the weapons and got super powerful because you could do it before the final boss. But what's the point after the final boss? Bleh, reminds me of all those guys in FFX who walked the entire sphere grid and replaced the bad nodes with the uber ones... lame.

Well in that case, I think I will move on to one of the other games I have waiting to be played. I am glad I am not alone in feeling like it is pointless since I beat the final boss and the story is over.

Kain's trial is the best out of all of them. Cecil's was the most disappointing, in my opinion. Then again, none of them really advance the story all that much although Cid mentions something interesting that isn't expanded upon. Basically, you saw all of the character development within the game itself, although Kain's is the only one that continues it a little bit more beyond the ending.

As for the equipment? Not really necessary unless you want to kill the sole "ultimate" enemy in there that an NPC warns you not to fight if you value your life. Until you nearly complete the Lunar Ruins...it's best you heed his advice. But, otherwise, it's mostly to extend gameplay and nothing more.

I would have been more satisfied if the pre-release talk of expanding a bit more on character development after the game actually took place. Or, even better, to offer that up before the end of the game to work into the ending a little bit better.

Ill tell you why...achievement points! Oh wait...nevermind theres no reason at all.

I agree, it was story driven and had a lot of dialogue and the boss battle was fun. Only good the first time through though. For the others, if you want the weapons and complete the beastiary go for it, otherwise don't bother.
