M!NRD Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 6/22: New Characters! Action Replay Code for importers!

Hmm, maybe in the later stages. I've been breezing through the first few songs on Normal much more easily than with the first Ouendan (which was also after EBA for me so I haven't gotten any better or anything).

It's kinda hard for me to tell because it's been a long time since I played the normal songs, I think this game's "normal" mode was easier than either EBA's our Ouendan 1's. Even on a replay through the normal to unlock the again on another cart, I had more problems beating the songs on the first two than on this one. I failed the last song twice on O2 before beating it with a B rank. On normal it doesn't compare to RSG or JJF.

On to the "real" mode in hard now, though. :)
I just picked up my copy from a local import store *cough japanvideogames.com cough*. It has the rumble feature from EBA. I have only played the first song on normal so I can't comment on the difficulty.

If anyone has question's I will try my best to answer them.
What did they charge? A trip to Happy Family in Monterey Park + instant Ouendan would be a good day.

I don't think I'll mind the spinners being easy, since they're really just there to annoy me anyway it seems(and I'm still bitter about not having an S rank on Insane mode Ready Steady Go because I missed the very last spinner).

It seems to me that it's hard to rank these games in difficulty. Aside from the spinners, I thought EBA was just as hard if not harder than Ouendan. On Ouendan, I can just pick it up and play through RSG anytime, with only the spinners messing me up. On EBA, JJF always gives me trouble with the spinners & the long beat patterns in the third section.

From what I've seen though, Ouendan 2 looks like it'll be harder than either the first one or EBA, except for the spinners. Which is pretty much what I wanted them to do anyway.

I think I'm the only person who never had issues with Ouendan spinners. I don't remember EBA spinners being better from what little of it I played, so we'll see.

I never had an issue with the spinners until you get to Ready Steady Go Cheerleader version and multiple spinner variation after dots made my hand numb and later on wouldnt be able to move to tap on the orbs cause my hand was so disoriented.

Help me remember, was the ability to skip the endo fa song (the part after you're done with the icons) in the first Ouendan or EBA? It's in O2 and is very nice :)

Not in Ouendan 1, but in EBA.
This can't get here soon enough!

I'll also probably buy EBA if I can ever find it for $15.
grab me a copy too if that ever happens and i'll pay you back :)

Edit: Also YesAsia order has been shipped

I just called my store, and they have Ouendan 2 in stock. Gonna go pick it up now. YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!
Mine's been shipped, too. *glee*
Mine too!

Glad to see that there isn't another Bleach-esque disaster with YesAsia this time.

Grabbed my copy (2 to be exact).

So far, its like all the great features (keyword there is features, not music) of EBA combined with the awesomeness that is the original Ouendan. I'm liking all the songs. Although some of the covers aren't nearly are good as the originals (where as the original Ouendan had pretty much good covers all around).

I don't see the point of the rival group. One side of the map is entirely the rivals (blue), while the other side is our favorite heroes (red). The map markers hold up colored flags of the group that completed them, but I don't see the point of that either since you can't choose which group to play with. Either the song belongs to red, or the song belongs to blue.

Is it better than the original Ouendan? I think so. Coupled with the EBA improvements, and a bunch of songs that I like right off the bat, I'm enjoying it much more so.

Also, the story for the 'sad song' isn't as good as the original, but the song used for the 'sad song' is much better than Over The Distance (imo).

Those are my impressions thus far.

Reading the OP for what the last song is made me XD for fucking glee. Probably the perfect song to end the game with.

Need to go order...

I got my copy today. Spent the last few hours playing through on normal mode. Love the pipe scene in the Bed-Wetting scenario. When I played the first Ouendan, the spinners wouldn't catch so half the time I'd be spinning like mad, but the thing isn't going, haven't had that problem in the new game.

And here's what came to mind when I saw the new team.
Caution: ending spoiler
hack, i'm assuming the booklet on the right is the instructions?
Yes, it is.

And I also agree that the spinners are far easier to do than in the original. I don't know what they did but I love spinners now.
I'm afraid to see what they'll make rival EBA people look like.
White suits? ;)

Anyways, Magnificent Cheering mode in this game is nuts. I swear, every song uses the same recovery rate as RSG did in the first Ouendan.
Not sure if this has been posted, but you can get this for $39.99 shipped at YesAsia. I just ordered it today.

Check out my thread:

I already had the WGASIA5 code (I used it to buy JUS a few months ago), but I didn't know that they added the DSOTO2G code. I've added it to the OP, thanks Like A Breath!

Damn, I missed out on saving $3. Guess I should have waited a little longer :\

Just want to hear from other's experiences, between play-asia and yesasia who has quicker shipping? I've ordered stuff from play-asia before but it's been a while and I've never ordered anything from yesasia. So I just wanted to see if there was any substantial difference.

Thanks in advance.

I'd imagine YesAsia would be quicker if they have it in stock, since they ship from Cali, as was said.

Playasia only takes a week, though, for me anyway.
Looks like the best deal is $40 shipped (with coupons) at YesAsia, right?
its $34.99 after the WGASIA5 coupon and free shipping
45-5=40, not 35. ;)
ah shoot, i must've been stoned when i typed that, and probably the reason why i don't do accounting right now ;)

Actually I had thought it would've been cool if this game would've had the Ouendan vs. Elite Beat Agents, instead of the rival blue ouendan. But then I guess they're saving that for later(we all know they'll go there eventually).

And yeah, Play-Asia is very fast at shipping. I wasn't expecting it, but my copy was in the mail today. I've already played through easy and most of normal, and unlocked the first bonus song(which is hilarious). So far, I think the game is definitely harder than the first one. It's easier to recover, but the beat patterns seem harder, which is what I like(that's one of the big things I preferred about EBA as well). Also the spinners are easy, which is a big plus. I don't like the soundtrack as much as the first one, but it's still good, and I know as I learn the beat patterns I'll like the songs better(since that's exactly what happened on both of the previous games).

Just attained the highest rank. It was a little too easy to get, compared to EBA. The game literally throws points at you, especially with the thing I mentioned in my spoiler tag a few posts back. I was expecting a cooler reward, but whatever. Now to S Rank every song...

I WILL CONQUER YOU, BAMBINA

I'm jealous of the people who got their Play-Asia copies already.

they shipped my copy out last Tuesday, so hopefully I'll get it tomorrow. I'm sort of expecting to get it near the 10 day mark though.

I really want to see ZZ's "Samurai Blue" in action. Sounds like it would be a fun song to play.

I know I've read a lot of opinions that this game is too easy... yeah, I'm just not seeing it. I flew through the original Ouedan after finishing EBA. But this one... this one is giving me the kind of fight that EBA originally did. Some songs I'll get through on the first try, but others really mess me up.

In any case, I would say that this one is unquestionably the hardest one in the series so far.
