No, warranty on refurbs is only 90 days, don't do it people! I guess you might be able to purchase some sort of extended warranty, but then you are getting close to the cost of a brand new elite anyway.
Just buy a new system. I think the best value is to get an arcade and add a hard drive. (Especially with the wal-mart deal right now)
I have a black wireless controller, but I don't like it as much. The plastic feels a bit different, makes my hands start to sweat almost right away. Just something to consider.
