Gamestop has just lowered the price of their Mad Catz 360 Arcade Gamestick from $40 to $20. My friend and I got two, as we're building custom joysticks and these things have a common ground. The games included are Time Pilot, Frogger and AstroPop. I'm pretty sure this is corporate, and the item has been removed from the website. But if people want to confirm this for me, that'd be great.

Edit; Oh... also you get a 48 hour XBL Gold trial.

The stick itself sucks ass, it's pretty much useless IMO.

It's worth mentioning though that when I traded mine at EB a few months ago I got $12 for it, I guess this will have come down now following this price drop.
How's the d-pad? I could use it for VF5.
I'm not sure I used it much, but I seem to remember it was pretty terrible. The entire thing was a piece of crap.

I traded mine in against a Hori stick to use with VF5.

The controller is good for a hand cramp, but the games are worth $10. $20 is a little steep considering the controller sucks.

I found one of these for $7 at Salvation Army . . . it came with the 3 games and was unused (Target castoff???). Anyway, it was cool to add 3 games to my 360 but the controller seems useless.

As I said, its not a particularly good stick, but it's easily hackable if any of you are interested in making your own arcade sticks.

I picked this thing up just for the "spinner" control part of it to play tempest. Only thing I care about it as the rest of it is useless to me. The spinner is great though.
Spinner is great, like mentioned above, and I thought the D-pad was an improvement over the first party controller.
It may be that it's late, i'm tired, and feeling a little douche-y but...

that's not saying much.
If this thing disappears, and it turns out that the knob is FANTASTIC for Peggle, people are going to regret not picking this up.
...

why do have do some fucked up shit like that and bring peggle into this.

::looks at token in pocket:: -- that's one month today that i got off the stuff...

No, the spinner isn't great. In fact, it's unusable in Zuma and Luxor. Instead of causing a continuous left or right signal when "spinning" it (it's too tight to spin, so it's more like dialing), the stick registers just a little L or R tap, so you can't move from one side of the screen to the other without several rapid turns of the spinner. Forget timing that function with matching colored balls and the like. If you can't use the spinner with the few games where it would actually be useful, you really can't use it at all.
The stick part is way too loose and sensitive for most games, but actually works ok for flying games like Ageis Wing and the included Time Pilot.

I hope I can find this in one of the places that has it cheaper. The games are worth are something, but not $20, especially considering it appears that it is almost universally agreed that the actually unit is god awful.
