Trade in 3 Xbox, PS2, or GC games and get Madden 2005 for free.
There are exclusions.

Still great deal nonetheless. Some kid was only going to get 12 dollars for his games today and got Madden for them instead.

Yeah, EB's goin' crazy with the trade-in offers. I shoulda posted this earlier when I saw all of em, I was just lazy. If you go to the bottom of the page on the left and click on "Trade-in Offers," you'll be more than pleasently surprised.
 
Those exclusions lists are supposed to vary store from store but I didn't see $5 Primal, Hobbit, and Sphinx & and the Cursed mummy on that list......

it is EB. it is a new copy. And yes they have added most of the cheap titles as I found out today I-Ninja is now excluded. The hobbit used to not be excluded but I have a feeling it is.
 
Just got back from EB. Apparently the trade is for new, however the exclusion list must be 10x larger than on the website. They told me 2 of the games I brought in are excluded. Why have a fucking website list of they are not going to keep it updated! ????
 
After looking at their trade in deals I'm wondering if you'd get BOTH the extra 20$ credit AND the 25$ gift card with 5 trade ins? It says offers can't be combined, but I think the extra 20$ might be automatically added so they wouldn't know you were combining offers. Has anyone tried this? Also what are the odds that you could return Madden 2005 and get a different new game, say Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne?

..because the list that everyone thinks is an exclusion list isn't. You guys swear up and down on that exclusion list, but it's funny, because that is the list for the Halo 2 deal, and the exclusion list changes with every deal.
 
you can probably take advantage of both as the $25 is a gift voucher. I plan on trying it.

As for returning Madden, it's all your call.

Yeah but I'd assume you'd know as soon as the eb employee's accept it and give you stuff to send in for the rebate.
 
I think every EB store manager gets to add games to the list on their own so the list will very store to store.

Scorch, are you saying each deal has a different base list from EB corporate? That's very interesting. (And also seems kind of dumb, why bother doing that?)
 
Isn't the trade in 5 get 20 extra over already? I am wondering can you trade in and get Madden then buy another game for like NBA live at target for 39.99 with the 10 dollars gift card and send in your receipt to EA and get the free game?

I just went to ebgames, the dude working at mine said the trade in 5 games get 20$ starts on the 15th and runs to the 31st. I have no idea about the other question though.

Pretty sure that you're completely wrong on that one. We had printed copies in the one I worked at for reference.
 
first off, I work at EB. The rebate center and B&M don't have great link. I personally just guess. The only thing I know for sure is that you can't get discount with vouchers i.e. no 20% off guide with purchase of game and recieve 15 gift voucher (you get one or the other)

second, it did include a couple of those games before. Two days ago I-Ninja for PS2 was a non-excluded title. Now it is excluded.

third, there is no store by store basis on what is excluded and what isn't excluded. It is regulated by home office, every day. The website isn't up to date. I don't know why.
