Madden 06/NCAA Football 06 Trade-in...

Well I traded in these games to pay off Madden:

Rumble Roses
Def Jam: FFNY
Drakengard
2x Midway Arcade Treasures 2 (1 penny each at CC)

I also traded in Prince of Persia at the same time, yet it was only worth $6. But, since I also traded it in alongside the others, it got me $10 (put on card). Plus, when it was all over, I somehow had an extra $10 added ot my card. Unfortunately, they said so much to me at the time I was trading them in, they got me so confused that I don't know where the money came from. Oh well, better for me.

I traded in a couple games this morning:

XB Knights of the Old Republic
XB Psi-Ops
PS2 Silent Hill 4: The Room
GC Army Men: Sarge's War

I was suprised that XB Hitman Contracts is POX now though. =( I should have checked eb.com, since it's only about $8 used now. The trade-in value is a grand $1 for it, so I kept it. The only game that had even a sort-of reasonable original trade-in amount was Silent Hill 4 at $7, the others were $3 or less! Sigh.

Oh well, I'm hoping that Bad Boys: Miami Takedown is still PO, or I'll be really annoyed!

i just traded in
ATV offroad fury 2
sonic heroes
sims bustin' out
espn nfl 2k5
hot shots golf fore

they wouldn't accept auto modellista prolly cuz i got it for 3 bucks from ebgames.com

they did accept my not for resale copy of atv offroad fury 2, tho

plus i got katamari damacy while i was there :)
KICKASS

I just traded in:

Final Fantasy X
Def Jam: Vendetta ps2
Midnight Club 2 ps2
Splinter Cell ps2
Nascar Thunder 2003 ps2

I was really surprised they took Nascar Thunder. But oh well, works out good for me.

basically by buying 5 $5 games (after coupon) from best buy u can get any games for $25 since you can change the credit next time you come in. At my EB they didnt even care that my Madden and NCAA were already paid off, they gave me $20 for my Bad Boys and Metal Arms towards the next Zelda.

I traded In both Midway Arcade Treasures, Madden 2005, Strike Force Bowling, and 007 Everything or Nothing which would have only gotten me 12 bucks total, so i say to get ncaa 2006 for that seems like a good deal to me
do you think they will continue you this till this friday.
According to their site, it continues until 8/8 for Madden, and it ends 7/11 for NCAA.

I traded in NBA Street Vol2, Shrek 2, Amped 2, Top Spin, and the Star Wars/Tetris Xbox disc (all Xbox actually). If there was no deal, I would've gotten $12.50, but I have Madden all paid off.

They wouldn't accept the Xbox Splinter Cell, Hitman Contracts, or ESPN Football 2k4.
Beyond flipping this is quite possiblty the shittiest deal out.
On the above post, yes . . . put the trade on Madden, come back a day later and use the $50 to get NCAA . . . or save the credit to buy $10 clearance games.

Flipping is the only way to do tradein deals at EB . . . $10 is squat for a decent game . . . but if you can work it . . . I have another 4 $5 games and a penny MAT2 to put on another Madden preorder.

Hit CC with the $5 off PS2 Best Buy coupons and get some games for trade in at EB

You don't need to tell me about flipping :) I'm more or less bitching about how this deal looks to the non-cagers. Trade 5 games in for a game that's more or less a carbon copy of a game that came out last year, now with more shit you don't want. Only rabid EA dipshi. . . err, fans would ever see this as a great deal.

What kind of luck have you had at 2005 sports games and this? One place wouldn't take NFL 2k5, NCAA 2005, or College Hoops 2k5.

So how does one go about "cancelling" their preorder? Can you just say "I don't want it anymore, give me store credit!" or is there some kind of loophole you must exploit, like taking it and then returning it for store credit?

no there is no loophole, once u put credit down on a game they have no knowledge of whether u traded games in for that credit or simply paid cash for the preorder, ive said this once already, u can use these offers to get $10 trade in per game towards any game, as long as you return to the store another time to switch the credit over.

Personally, I agree . . . I can't imagine getting Madden each year . . . but $50 in credit that comes from $25 outlay means that Zelda Four Swords actually cost $7.50 today . . .

BTW, you just cancel the preorder and because it is store credit they will usually just shift it over to a gift card . . . you could put it on another game or a 360 or buy $50 worth of stuff.

In at least one extremely rare occasion a CAGer said they gave him cash . . . never happened to me.

He is the "Kandoo" frog from the side of a pack of toddler wipes.

My wife suggested I make it my avatar . . . it really is a crazy image.

BTW, I just got a call from EB . . . my NCAA Football is in for me to pickup . . . LOL!

do you think its possible for them to do it all in one sitting. If i ask the employee politely do you think it could happen. Whatever though.

I can't view the exclusion list. I think this deal might be pretty good if I can get $50 for this...

GCN
I-Ninja
Spiderman
Crash Bandioot
XIII
SSX (I'm assuming this won't be accepted)

GC XIII was on the exclusion list a long time ago and I'd bet that it still is, since the XB and PS2 versions are $5.99 pre-played (generally anything under $10 pre-played has a very good bet of being on the exclusion list).

I-Ninja, Spiderman and Crash are probably good. As for SSX, it would depend on which one it was (I thought that they only released SSX Tricky and SSX 3 for the GCN). Anyway, Tricky is probably POX, but SSX 3 should be fine.

I called in, you are right about XIII. I asked about Tricky and it's good. So I'm going to unload those 4 for $40.

I did this today for Madden and this is what they accepted:

ESPN NBA 2K5 (PS2)
Tony Hawk's Underground 2 (PS2)
MX Unleashed (PS2)
Timesplitters 2 (Xbox)
NCAA Football 2005/Top Spin (Xbox)

I also brought in 2 other games and they would have accepted ESPN NBA 2K5 (PS2) but they wouldn't accept ESPN College Hoops 2K5 (Xbox).

GC games do better than PS2 and Xbox (list is shorter) but on the other hand finding really cheap GC games is harder.

Well, my ebgames i just tricked out. I traded in 5 games for my preorder of madden 06. I decided I was going to switch my preorder to Socom 3 and they said that was fine. Well i got to the registor and the guy asked me how much i wanted to put on socom 3. I said 5$ just in case i find a better deal and i was exspecting the rest in credit but he gave me 48$ dollars in cash back. I then just ordered ncaa for 39$ so i got what i wanted out of this for games that i havent touched in nearly year. I guess if you want to scam them out of some money you could do the same and a few bucks doing this.
5 games for 1 sports game that'll be worth 10 bucks at the most next year? No thanks.
Most any game will be worth 10 bucks next year . . . say, God of War . . . it will be $20 new and worth squat.

I don't have the Madden bug . . . but I understand it in others.

As far as the guy above getting cash back . . . that's pretty YMMV . . . never had it offered to me and I've done this probably over 20 times in the past year.

I wouldn't count on it.

Traded in 3 games that I got for 5 bucks each for 35 bucks in credit. Fifa 2005 ended up trading for 15 bucks, pretty surprising. So long Raw 2 and Metal Gear, you won't be missed. :p
