off topic: I think this Brett Favre situation is all because of publicity for him. C'mon the game will be out next month and he's on the cover of madden 09. Why not all this madness in February or any other month? It's july and perfect timing to cause a stir for promotional reasons. Anyone agree?

I dont really think Madden needs the publicity at the expense of Favre's reputation being possibly irrepably tarnished. I think the Favre should let Favre start if he wants to...I mean he IS a hall of famer.

I half expected moonknight to challenge FrankySox to a battle to the death for the Jags. Especially since this is the first I've heard of Franky even liking the Jags, and moonknight fucking loves them.

I want to join, but I'm not even sure if I want this game after I bought Madden 08 on the release date.. so I'll come back later in this thread if I end up getting it. =p

I took someones fav team?!?! Oops, I would have also taken the Steelers but the Jags were my first choice, I think they'll be good this year. Solid D and of course they have the midget Jones-Drew.
 
Damn the Browns are gone, I'll have to think on another team as I'd like to get in on this.

Though for those interested I think I'd like to do a league with board members/friends online sometime a little farther into the season to get better rosters, but I'll talk more about that later.

What's up fellas? Back for the summer finally. I have a feeling a few of the people who signed up won't come through as what's almost always the case for leagues here. So check back here often TheUMX...maybe someone will (come to their senses) and drop the Browns. Oh, that's right...I went there.

Yeah, obviously I'm doing this for fun since the Dolphins won't give me much of a chance to win. Especially since it seems that they are trading JT to the Redskins. The rosters at launch should still have him with the Dolphins though. :lol:

That seems silly. What would be the point of picking teams if we were to do that?

Also I wish we could have clarified what we were doing before we picked the teams, because if some people don't get what they want they may drop out. Oh well I guess it'll be easy to fill their spot.

Steve, watch that shit. The Browns are 7-0 when I see them live, they're winners! Unfortunately, it makes getting tickets harder this year. I'm glad this is gonna be the first year they're decent in Madden in like a decade.
