Ummm. I think you are completely over estimating EA. This is EA they wouldnt do a single thing to help us ever. It takes them at least 5 months to update anything......ever.

The only reason...the only reason they will be quick to update this is because its Tom Brady (but EA quick not equal to actually being quick......) but anyone else they wouldnt bother.

I wouldnt even believe that they would update the rosters for at least another 3 or 4 weeks.

Its fucking EA they havent fix bugs that were in the 01 version of the game so I wouldnt hold by breath for them to be quick with any time of update.

Thats a little harsh but Matt Young you kinda deserve it. I dont know how people forget so easy when it comes to EA and their games. EA is most likely one of the worst companies in regards to updating and its EVERY YEAR almost EVERY GAME and yet people still believe that there is always some type of patch coming.

BF BC just now got a patch announced and it came out months ago (the patch is basically worthless because it doesnt actually fix anything but thats another story)

I remember in past maddens half the damn season would be over before they would release the 2nd (after training camp) roster. I will bet a 1000 bucks that this update wont come soon but if it does its solely beacuse of Tom Brady and no one else. If he didnt go down this week you would see a update for at least 3 months....just like every other EA game.

Way to be an asshole! I never said I knew when the next roster update would be out. But they will likely have one soon, and it is a proven fact that, when players are injured, they are removed in the update that is mandatory for online play. Know what you are talking about before you decide to come on here and talk down to someone.

And last year, they had an update after like week 3 of the regular season, Soodmeg. But you guys are basing your criticism on the timeliness of said update, and I never once said I knew when it would be coming out, just that when it did, Brady would be removed.

I never said you did know when it was coming out. I just meant to say not hold your breath for an update because EA always seems to drop the ball on those.

I guess what I really wanted to say is, I feel that 90% of our season will be done before they ever release another update.

Look man, the only reason I fired off on you is because you deemed it necessary to tell me and soodmeg that our "argument" was pointless (to me, that's being an asshole). Call it defending my right to free speech. Whether there would be updates and if those updates would be mandatory was never in question. That's almost common sense. It's not like we were even flaming each other...just discussing the likeliness of consistent roster updates from EA, and the effect that those updates (or lack of) would have on the league. You butted into the conversation, and I'm sorry if you got your nose bitten. Simple as that.
 
I (Kansas City) won againt Black Sunrise (Atlanta) 28-21. fucking wild game. Not to be rude, but it wouldn't have even been close if I knew how to properly use the Fair Catch button.;)

I was punted the ball a couple of times and Black was able to get right on top of my guy when he got it, so I got hammered without me pressing the Y button. The problem was, I thought the RB button was fair catch, so I got cooked. That gave him 2 touchdowns, and then for his third TD, he got a dumpoff pass to his HB just before I was sacking the QB, and he ran for about 60 or 70 yards due to some heavenly blocks.

I started off the game marching down the field, only to miss my FG. I then mixed in the deep ball with some good medium passes for first downs, and it was working great, with the occasional run that was stopped because my RB has a magnet in him that attracts large men that want to kill him. To end the first half, I got a monster deep pass, but couldn't get my guy out of bounds, so I wasted another TD.

I felt like some of the would-be interceptions really should've been interceptions, but sadly, Madden's purposely broken this way because we're not pros and we throw the ball to defenders too much. There was one time where my defender was literally waiting on the ball for 3-5 seconds without the receiver even touching him, and when he jumps up to get it, he bobbles it and drops it. Tough luck.

Fun game, but man was I getting pissed. You did a great job of exploiting my weaknesses (not being able to press Y for a fair catch) to keep the game close, but I got the winning touchdown drive at the end of the fourth quarter since my QB was spitting hot fire.

Good game.
 
Yeah, that was a good game. Some vicious hits and some really big plays. I agree about the INT's, they still seem to come from nowhere and I hate the wide reciever catch animations. It still seems broken but not as bad as last year. And damn if I didnt get close to tying the game with my last little bomb and then I threw the end zone int which sealed the loss. Nice game, SJ41

You had that muffed punt at the beginning of the game that happened to bounce right to your other player who then gained 30 yards. Then Young fumbles after a 10 yard gain...at like the 5 yard line.

My defense was stellar all game, then all of a sudden misses one tackle in the 4th and it's over. That was a freakin one punch knockout man. Good game...I'm just disgusted with my group of pansies. 2 a days all week for these bitches!!!
 
I hope this injury debate doesn't happen in the other CAG madden league, I was also affected in the Pats-Chiefs game Sunday. I don't know what i would do if I couldn't use Brodie Croyle for the next 4 weeks...

The term 'argument" doesn't necessarily imply anything malicious. Maybe debate would have been a more understandable term. The way you guys worded things made it sound like you were ignorant to the effect of roster updates and thought that Azumangaman had control over the rosters used by league teams. I was simply trying to provide some clarification to the matter.
 
Let me just say that Tom Brady isn't good anyways. Why wouldn't you want to start Cassell in the first place. Ratings don't mean anything in the game, I just threw for 3000 yards with Earnest Byner.

Fair enough. Just a misunderstanding then. Sorry if I offended you, but I was just trying to express my view to soodmeg...that trying to keep up with injuries manually (until EA hands down an offical update) was just too much to ask. And then you came out of nowhere, with a comment that felt like you were calling us idiots for even talking about it, so I got defensive. No hard feelings?

It was quite the defensive battle. I was lucky that I had one game breaking play with LT.

Alright I'll take your guys' word for it. Its just we set up a game, he was on live at the time, and dude kept playing other games and didn't respond to me. Just didn't like how I had to sit there for an hour and wait for him and still not play. But ok, we'll see.
 
Anyone see amy major changes from the roster update? I was playing the giants and did notice that osi yumienuora is no longer on the giants defensive line. Anyone notice amy other changes? Brady still on NE? Chad Johnson now Chad Ocho Cinco?

I share my xbox with 2 other roommates. When " II ToLmEs II " signs on, it's not always me. I just got your message today, I have been busy and haven't been on. My laptop just broke, I have Vista and when it loads it's just a black screen? ( Just in case someone can help me ) So, I will be using my roommates computer whenever I can get a chance, I will try catching you here, or on Live.

Im so pissedd i took the lead 24-20 with a minute left n i ran a cover 4 and drop coverage and somehow wilis magahee ran right past my D n scored a 70 yard TD to win it ne way. Good game Greg Bales ill be lookin foward to the rematch!!!
