The Colts fell to 1-2 and to the bottom of the AFC South after a Sunday morning loss to the Jaguars, 20-10. Not having learned a lesson from last Sunday's rout, the virtual Colts' team still managed to leave a wretched stench on the brand new Lucas Oil Stadium field, where the team has gone winless this season.

"Bring back the fucking dome," Colts' safety Bob Sanders shouted in the locker room. "I don't give a shit if the roof is gone and the seats are in the dumpster. Tell the fans to bring lawn chairs and have them spray paint lines on the concrete. This place is cursed."

Sanders made a miraculous come back, despite having been on the injury list. Fans caught sight of him, in all places, the special teams. Chalk that up to another screw up by an inept Colts team.

Though the team makes it a point to reiterate the mantra, "No Excuses," a startling absence of a few key presences on the sideline could prove to be an admission of guilt by the club to their inability to stop the run. Though the Jags were held for under 100 yards, their backs chewed clock and converted countless third-downs that kept the drive and the Colts' offense off the field. The missing personnel you ask? Colts' coach Tony Dungy and GM Bill Polian.

Polian was missing the entire game, while Dungy inexplicably disappeared at half time. Sources informed us that Dungy was spotted at a local Denny's while Polian was seen prowling the floor of an IHOP. Both were looking for fat asses to plug into the under-sized defensive line.

I don't like simming..I think playing the commish is a good idea if he is up to it. I am down for a game Az since I they are my next opponent.
 
I'm going to go with leaving them unplayed. I don't like simming either.
Also, people who joined the league late are going to have the chance to replay their early games. ie BigAT, its wasn't fair for you to start 0-2, so if you want to play those games over, you can. I'd imagine it'd be ok with your opponents.

As always, If I'm around on XBL you can always ask to just play for fun. I'm always up for it :)

My Xbox just red ringed during a COD4 match with CAGs. It froze, then when I tried to restart it, bam, red ring. Unlike the first time (where it also froze during COD4) there were no warning signs.

So yeah, I won't be available to play for a few weeks.

That is me.

I am down with replaying a game if someone wants to, but it was just 2 games. I would prefer to move forward with unplayed games and not worry about replaying ones.

I didn't get into the league right away, thats my bad. The league needs to move on and I am just happy to be playing in one.

I have pretty much stopped playing random people due to cheaters, so this will keep my Madden fix going. :D
 
I've been really lucky.
I had crappy times in 07 (which led to me just not playing online against strangers on XBL in 08) but 09 has been GREAT to me.
4 games, all very close, well fought battles. I've won 4 of em :)

I have had three people run the WR direct snap exploit on me for an entire game. One I played out and two I just ended up quitting because it is pointless to even play those people.

I also have had people using the QB passing past the line of scrimmage glitch, but at least they dont use it every play.

Outside of cheating, I have had peeps that just don't know how to play a game of football. Going for it on 4th and 10 in the first quarter in their own terrority. It's annoying, I prefer not to play those people, but compared to the blatent cheaters, I guess I can live with it now.

I just have too much I would rather be doing and when I get an hour or so to play some games, I would much rather play a game of football than someone that is just interested in cheating to win.

Also, it annoys me that EA has just turned a blind eye to the entire thing thus far. Not only that, but on their own message boards, they protect anyone from being called out on it, saying it is a personal attack. So if they cheat, I can't even tell the people on that board not to play that person if they don't want to play a cheater, because then I get banned. I can see where they are coming from on it, but it just adds to the frustration level on my part when it happens.

/silly rant.
 
To the Eagles and the Giants, are either of you going around today/tonight to replay the games from week 1/2 before I took over the Rams?

My GT is BigAT4.
 
As far as replaying games I think the league should be more concerned with going forward and getting games that haven't been played then re playing week 1 and 2 games. All efforts should be made to finish the league. Also, when are we starting week 6? I played my games through week five and I think we should try move things along.
 
Week 6 schedule is up.
I think moving forward should definitely be #1.
I just don't think its fair for guys like BigAT who are obviously legit to have to have an 0-2 start.
That being said, if you can't match up with your week 6 opponent right away but can play BigAt, why not?

Also, if anybody wants to play me on Madden, just message me on XBL. I'm up for some games now.

Yeah, a friend who is a Wal-Mart employee assured me that I'd be able to exchange it without incident within 90 days, otherwise I would have been S.O.L. until my system returned. I sent it out today, so hopefully that will only take a couple weeks. Either way, I can play. What day would be good for you, Juan?
 
Sucks: My box red ringed today too but have no worries because I'm taking my box back to my modder to fix the red rings issue this weekend. No need to wait 2 weeks for the service center.

Shits is done dude. Fun (not really it actually really frustrating) while it lasted I thank everyone for joining and trying it out but both leagues are a no go.

We got the same 5 people talking to themselves in both threads I still havent seen a post from like half the people in the league yet. We got like 3 games done in the last like 4 days.

If this wasnt a CAG league I would have bailed a long time ago. This is 80% hassle and I do not know why. I dont know if its the people, the timing, the fix shedule instead of flex hell maybe the economy, just dont know. But this clearly isnt working its just puttering along at a snails pace waiting to die. And that would be fine if we wanted a slow going league but like I said half this cats havent even been in this thread since the first week. Its the same 5 of us talking to each other.

I dont know how you can join a league and never check the league thread. Or check it one or 2 times and then just wait for a pm for 2 weeks. I dont buy into this pming stuff. Pming is fine of having an branch of the league but all of it should be centralized in the league thread.

But I dont know what the deal is. Maybe the league was simply to large and thinking that 32 people will stay in it for 17 weeks was just to much. I still dont really want to bail on you guys but I am not chasing mofos down and like I said if this didnt come together by Oct I was ghosting out because there are far to many good games coming out this month and so little time to play them.


If you guys make a smaller league of like 10 people hit me up but this "Oh I talked to my opponent 2 weeks ago and havent heard back" shit is for the birds and I dont have time to deal with that.

While the post was a little much, it was actually kind of true now that I think about it. I'd say it applies to Jagged's league more though, because we have 2 and almost 3 completed weeks.
I think the crazy all weeks thing is a good idea.

Yea things are moving slow, but I'm not trying to just pick on you, but you yourself have had incidents where you couldn't get your game going. Remember last week when we had Monday planned and something came up for you, and then Tuesday was scheduled and you didn't show up. I mean I understand your frustration, but you of all people should understand that things come up and people can't get their games going. We really need to get it together, all of us. Hopefully we can do this, but until then, I'm going to keep trying to get my games going and playing my franchise when I can't.

For the record, I think having the full NFL schedule posted is a good idea. BUT, I'd do it like Jagged was doing and have each week inside a spoiler tag so it doesn't dominate the thread. At least this would give people a place to look if they want to play ahead. The only problem would be if people play ahead, and then someone drops and the new person wants to "replay" those games.

Personally, I think replaying games is a bad idea. I understand nobody wants a losing team, but I inherited Denver with an 0-2 record I believe, but to replay weeks 1 and 2 would be unfair to the people who earned those wins. They shouldn't have to play through their season twice. Anyway, that's my two cents...or well, nickel, haha.

As for what you mentioned in the other thread Azu (and what ivanctorres suggested as well), I'd be down for organizing/running a small 10-15 man league. I posted an idea for it in the Madden 2 RIP thread, so I won't double post. But check it out and let me know what you guys think. Later homies! :cool:
