I didn't want to bring this up when you were trading for Blount, but I typically eat slower backs alive, so I was glad that trend continued aside from his late TD run.

Ross was merely okay, his day was kind of salvaged by his 49 yard TD. 21 carries for 88 yards and 2 scores is certainly a respectable day, but he was stopped in the backfield more often than I'd like.

Yeah Blount wasn't doing much at all. And I was scared to put McCluster in because of his fumble history. I went into the game expecting to be bottled up on the ground.

Luckily Charles is only out for one more game. Though Moeaki is now injured for 11 weeks :cry:
 
Seriously fuck this bullshit game. Fumble a TD pass in the endzone. So many bullshit INTs. Etc etc.

Edit: I was just about to write a recap, but the boxscore just angers me. Lots of missed opportunities here. On one of my first drives, Holmes had a man beat and he had to come back to the throw to catch it and only gained 40-50 yards versus an easy 70 yard TD. My first two picks were a classic LB superman grab and then another easy grab that went through my WR and into the safety's hands. I've seen safeties teleport jump routes and those are annoying enough, but my WR literally whiffed the catch through his body and then the safety caught it. The other 2 INTs were forces after being so annoyed and down in the game. Why *try* to throw good passes when those get picked off anyways? The icing on the cake was a nice little grab from Holmes on the 5 yard line, he broke a tackle and as he got hit a 2nd time on the goal line he fumbled the ball into the endzone. IRL I would imagine he would have broke the plane and it would be ruled a TD, but Madden isn't there yet and it was just a fumble. Costing me a TD when I was still in the game. The D was porous as usual. I'm looking forward to Madden 13 when they inevitably nerf the run game. It was pretty much feast or famine for McCoy. I'd either stuff him in the backfield with my user player or if I missed he would gain 50+ yards. His average was probably already 20 yards per carry, but if they took out the runs stopped in the backfield it would probably be closer to like 50 yards per carry. I also clearly did no scouting or made 0 adjustments, he played the Eagles like the Cowboys, going to his TE 8 times. The next person had 2 catches. And one look at the top receivers, Witten is right there. I should've put a CB on him at half time, but never did and he exploited LBs in coverage by crossing Celek all over the field. Oh well, I'm still in the playoff race. It was an out of conference loss, but it was annoying as shit.

I know I texted this, but GG again Apple/C0bra. No qualms with the way you beasted my D. You played it well, keeping me off balance trying to plan for the run and when I did you had your TE typically in 1v1 situations in pretty big mismatches. Though, is Celek really that good?? Haha. My only beef with the game (and it's been the same story all year), the impossible/unbelievable turnovers.

The only reason i see you making this add/drop is that saunders has 82 catch vs graham's 60.

Regardless. This isn't the free agent period. You can't just add drop players when you feel like it.

If someone could sub for me or if you guys could find a replacement altogether, I'd really appreciate it. I was happy to step up and fill in for a few weeks when the first Bills owner turned out to be a deadbeat, but I'm having a really hard time keeping up with this league and owning two teams in the JV league. I don't want to slow you guys down any more than I already am. If Aftershock still wants in this league, I think he'd be a good replacement.

Well, thanks for filling in. Maybe next Madden?

I just sent a PM to Aftershock. If for some reason he's not around and Prez is we'll find a Bills sub before he officially takes over. I'd like to advance tonight if Prez is around, but if not definitely tomorrow.
 
Just checked my schedule and I thought the tough part was over... next up MasterAwesome. Then a BV rematch, then the new look Bills. I really needed that W vs the Eagles. I could be looking at a 0-4 stretch out of the bye. Not good!

Edit: The good news is the rookie Kilgo is back vs the Ravens. I thought he was out longer, but I'm looking forward to him having a chance to burn some people as we close out the season. Still plenty of time to make some noise for OROY.

Burress follows a few weeks later so we'll see how this passing attack shapes up. Avant likely won't see much play after that, not like he's been that great haha.
 
DARN I forgot to announce...I'm going on vacation Friday the 16th through the 23rd so I guess I'll be needing mad subs!! Well really probably only for 2 in-game weeks if me and uber can get our game in tomorrow at some point hopefully....I'm leaving early Friday morning :(

And the Bengals played some great D so I couldn't get much going on offense in the pass or run game...I think my rookie TE had like 3 catches for 30 yards or something :( So Kilgo still has a good shot...although my pass defense is 3rd in the league so you better look elsewhere to pad your boy's stats!!!

I can't play until Friday morning oddly enough.... :roll: Haha, jokes! Yeah, we should be able to get this done tomorrow no problem. My pass D was once tops in the league, but looks can be deceiving! It sure will be tested when we play. Or so I hope.

Yeah BV I'd appreciate it, I'm not picky at all regarding subs, anyone who wants to sub can have it...although it's all ultimately up to our fine commissioners here. I'd be okay even with any 0-8 or w/e players subbing, but I'm guessing that won't fly since we have some detailed subbing guidelines in here.
 
I'd have no issue with BV subbing. Especially since it comes in after I play the Ravens. I can't play BV x3 haha.

BV, so we're both 3-4 if I'm not mistaken? It's been a tough climb over .500 for me this season. Might turn out to be my worst as the Jets owner in however many seasons unless I go on a roll here.

Yup, we suck. Even if we both win next week, we've got each other the week after, so someone's still going to be sub-.500. The way both of us (and the Dolphins) have struggled at times this season, I wouldn't be shocked if 9-7 wins this thing. We're all pretty much out of the Wild Card discussion already.

If I finished below .500 (which I don't think I will, my schedule was very front-loaded), it will be my first time doing so in this league (even in the Division of Doom last year, I never finished worse than 8-8).

The bright side of my crappy year: If things hold as they are and I don't win the division, next season will be the first season in the last two Maddens that I don't have to play Doom during the regular season.

It was fun, although definitely frustrating to be clearly the 4th best guy in it. :D I beat you all at least once though, so at least I was able to compete. I think one season I went 0-6 in the division but 9-1 against the rest of the league, or something crazy like that.

During the two seasons you and mog were both in it, we didn't have anyone finish below .500 either year. The current NFC West is pretty tough, but it'll be interesting to see whether they can match that feat.
