[quote name='BSETI50']How many players can we have on our roster?[/QUOTE]

Just drop your 7 players you don't want after the playoffs otherwise the computer will do it for you.

I appreciate the Watson and Dyer nods, but really TJ Ward is probably the most deserving on my team and I'm surprised he didn't get a Defensive Player of the Year nomination.

He had 66 tackles, 5 picks, and 6 forced fumbles.

If you've been eliminated from the playoffs, you can go ahead and start posting trade blocks.

Two things:

1) As always, please try to keep all actual trade discussion to PMs.

2) No trades can be submitted until the season ends and we get a look at the season 3 progressions.

Definitely could have been up there. The cutoff is usually 5 for each award but obviously I went over on a few. Michael Huff had a better body of work than TJ Ward which is why he was left off. Had to include some of the sack leaders as well

"ESPN radio is reporting The Dolphins will hire Jeff Fisher. Team is expected to hold a news conference later today."

Jeff Fisher will also be coaching the CAGFL Miami Dolphins this coming season. Hopefully overhauling the defense as well. 23rd overall in Defense this year, it's obvious the team needs some help.

When asked at the airport about why he chose the Dolphins coaching job in the CAG Football League, he had the following response:

"This team has some incredible defensive assets that we believe can turn into a superbowl contending unit year in and year out. I hope to bring them to the next level"

gb imma send u a pm also if there is anyway we can try to play tonight lets do it cus i have a dr appointment tomm after work i mite not b able to play till 730 8 ish.... hopefully we can advance tonight

the only thing that was great about my team is i got 2 great young runners who i didnt use till mid season which will change next year and be a plus and my defense was 4th on forced fumbles 17 other than that they sucked or well i guess i sucked

Cardinals Trade Block

I have a bunch of later draft picks (one 3rd, two 4ths, one 5th, three 6ths, one 7)

That I'm looking to trade together for lower round picks. (i.e. two 4ths, for a 3rd) and so on. Let me know with offers if you are interested.

Drew Brees, Adrian Wilson and Kerry Rhodes are also on the trading block.

Cardinals end the season 8-8, 15th in power rankings,

Offense: 15th in points scored, 10th in yards, 13th in passing yards, 10th in rushing yards

Defense: 9th in points scored, 6th in yards, 10th in pass yard, 10th in rushing yards.

Hoping for a better season next year where I win all of the really close games I lost this season.

Brees is on the trade block, I didn't trade him yet, he will fetch a very high price.

I just want to continue milking Patrick Peterson for whatever he is worth.

Peterson + Kolb= Brees + Tracy Porter

Tracy Porter + 2nd rounder = Adrian Peterson

Brees = Who Knows?

And yes, it is just so Tarvaris Jackson can get all kinds of silly in every game.

Jags Trading Block

QB Matt Schaub

WR Mike Williams

didnt post any overalls age or anything will re-do this after the playoffs and after seeing progression

"Don't want" is the wrong phrase. You can still pick those guys up after you drop them, provided you have space.

But is there an exact number of players we SHOULD have at the start of the season?

Me and Widdow counted 54 on our teams, but I feel like anybody's team could easily have 52-57 players, It doesn't cap the space on a team's roster does it?

There is a cap, I think it's 55 but I could be wrong.

Your roster should be full when the season starts assuming you draft guys and also pick some back up that you dropped pre-draft.

1. Tampa Bay Bucs
2. Jacksonville Jaguars
3. Dallas Cowboys
4. Cincinnati Bengals
5. Buffalo Bills

holy shit i won something return man of the year mike thomas lol one of the very few positives this season

curious to know how we are going to do trades with the overall ratings since during the off season we cant check our depth chart so how would we go off an overall considering they arent exactly correct????

[quote name='bvharris']I wonder how many weren't on screens.[/QUOTE]

I wondered that myself

Craziest stat was when I saw Cam Newton had been sacked 59 times. Those are David Carr numbers!

Is that the case? I didn't realize you couldn't check the depth chart during the offseason..

Well, I got the one award I cared about. Will be interesting to see if Ross can improve on those numbers with a year of progression - he's set a pretty high standard for himself.

well i didnt either until static brought it to my attention last night but then i thought back to before the draft when i joined and im about 95% hes right so if thats is the situation wut ideas would u have to deal with this

We'll just go by the player management value before the draft it's that's the case, since both sides will be equally in the dark. If it turns out there's a HUGE discrepancy, we can address that after.

Really though, from what I've seen the individual skill ratings are typically all the same, the bug is just in how it calculates the overall.

alright sounds good thanks for the help

No one should be investing in a trade simply by OVR ratings anyways....I would hope that people would be dissecting a player for all his individual attributes if they're seriously considering trading for a guy (especially for the blockbusters). Like BV said, although the Player Management OVRs are wrong...the individual attributes through Player Management are correct. So don't look at Player Management and see a 90 OVR WR and just say "Oooooo me want!!" when he has 65 catching, 40 route running, 50 CIT....that might be a SLIGHTLY extreme example, but you see what I'm saying...

And hooray for Ray!! I'm sure the fact that the other frontrunner for MVP was Doom's own player factored into his decision, but I will take it nonetheless!! What makes it even more special is that Ray Lewis is retiring this season......that is just too darn poetic.

[quote name='sprice8688']bv did u reach matt? if he cant play i think duece or mog should sub since they made playoffs last yr[/QUOTE]

He's on the west coast, so he doesn't usually get on CAG until later. If I don't hear back from him by the time the other game is played, we'll look at other options.

I'm at work so I can't play until tonight anyway.

[quote name='BSETI50']Titans go from 3-13 to 13-3. Great first season. Didn't put up any crazy individual numbers, I know I could have, but I wouldn't be 13-3.

looking forward to the rematch with MA. We've had a couple good games against eachother even tho one was in the fantasy league, where he beat me with what id say was a lesser team than mine. Our game this year was close, and I'm sure this one will be too. I just hope I can contain his offense and not let the big bully ray lewis steal my lunch money. Unbeleivable year he had MA, he's got my mvp vote.[/QUOTE]

I appreciate it man...I'm definitely not forgetting about your user D in this next match-up, you definitely out-usered me last time for sure. I went back and studied our last match for a few min last night lol, so I did a little planning....looking forward to our next one.

Browns Trade Block:

-Colt McCoy (not entirely sure on this, waiting on his new ratings)
-Peyton Hillis
-Receivers (not anyone great, but looking to swap depth at receiver for defensive/line depth)

I need linebackers and possibly offensive line.

End of Season Report: New England Patriots (Season Two)

Season One Report Here

Record: 10-6 (12-4 last year), AFC East champs, #4 seed.

Offense:
29.9ppg (7th) - [Last year: 22.1 ppg (11th)]
318.1ypg (7th) - [Last year: 290.3 ypg (11th)]
156.7 passing ypg (22nd) - [Last year: 163.7 passing ypg (12th)]
161.4 rushing ypg (4th) - [Last year: 126.6 rushing ypg (9th)]

Passing:
Tom Brady - 146/208, 70.2% (#1 in the league), 2202 yards, 20TD, 15 INT, 106.7 Rating

[Last year: 188/278, 67.6% (#1 in the league), 2626 yards, 18TD, 16 INT, 95.4 Rating (#3 in the league)]

In everything but yards, Brady was much better in season 2 than he was in season 1. The increased focus on the running game allowed him to pick his spots more carefully, and his INTs tended to come in bunches when the team fell behind. Definitely still some room for improvement, but leading the league in completion percentage for a 2nd straight year is nice.

Rushing:
Cobie Ross - 257 carries, 2092 yards (8.1ypc), 23 TDs (14 games)

This was truly the year of Cobie Ross for the Patriots, as he was basically a one-man wrecking crew for this offense. Green-Ellis was a distant second on the team with 39 carries, but in his first season Ross seized full control of the starting job in New England.

Receiving:
Roddy White - 46 catches, 806 yards (17.5ypc), 13 TDs
Rob Gronkowski - 35 catches, 474 yards (13.5ypc), 1 TD
Aaron Hernandez - 27 catches, 474 yards (17.6ypc), 5 TDs
Wes Welker - 19 catches, 292 yards (15.4ypc), 2 TDs

It wasn't a banner year for any Patriots receiver, though again Brady spread the ball around well. Gronk, Hernandez, and Welker all saw their targets drop with the presence of Roddy, which was only to be expected. Welker in particular saw his production drop, but he was still a reliable receiver when targeted. Gronk only finding the endzone once was a bit surprising, though he and Hernandez finishing with identical yardage totals is nice.

Defense:
16.9 ppg (4th) - [Last year: 10.5 ppg (1st)]
254.1ypg (5th) - [Last year: 203.5 ypg (2nd)]
174.5 passing ypg (8th) - [Last year: 97.2 passing ypg (1st)]
79.6 rushing ypg (6th) - [Last year: 106.3 rushing ypg (19th)]

Given that my overall performance was a bit off of season 1 despite a stronger offensive year overall, it's not surprising that my defense took a bit of a step back. Last year's scoring defense was historically good, and obviously giving up 6 points and 50 yards more per game will have some effect, though by any measure this was still an elite defensive unit, and unlike last year finished in the top 10 in all 4 major categories. What's particularly interesting was the switch in what phase I defended better, with my run stopping improving dramatically at the same time my passing defense worsened. It's not as if I didn't face tough rushing attacks either, since I faced the #1, #2, #5 (twice) and #7 rushing attacks this year. Might just be inexplicable.

Once again, the Patriots weren't a huge turnover team. Jerod Mayo actually lead the team with 4 INTs, and all my CBs combined only had 5. I did have my first double-digit sack performance, with Jermaine Cunningham notching 11 (Mayo also had 9).

Not a bad season overall. Despite dropping two wins, I actually think my performance was pretty steady. My point differential actually increased, and one of those added losses was actually a sim loss, so I'm not too much worse off. Last year's season ended with a loss to Doom in the AFCCG, we'll see if I can improve on that.
