I'd just like to get it out there that the ARIZONA CARDINALS are looking for a STRONG SAFETY and they will have PRESUMABLY VERY HIGH DRAFT PICKS

That is all.

So no word on these last 2 games??

edit: I just PMed all 4.

edit2: so who is worst? the Knicks or UConn? I only had the chance to catch the first half of UConn vs Georgetown tonight, but wow. I've been making the comment that they look like 5 guys at the Y that don't know each other at all, but honestly I've seen 5 guys at the Y play with more offensive flow than that. Lamb is great, but this step up to the 3 point line and jack up a brick 3 needs to stop. Napier takes equally bad shots. I thought these guys were the leaders of this team? Ugh!

Fun Fact: The last three teams fighting for an NFC playoff berth last year are a combined 4-15.

Honestly, I don't even know what I could do to improve my team in regards to personnel. It seems as though I've slammed into a brick wall and instead of backing up and going around I just keep slamming into it.

For example, Mebane and Kindle combined for 26 sacks and 64 tackles. This year, nearly halfway through then have 0 sacks and 6 tackles. I haven't changed my scheme, players, or anything on that side of the line and nothing, not shit.

The problem seems to be a lack of negative plays and/or turnovers but I can't figure out what happened. My secondary improved across the board (plus we added Delmas) and no one on defense when down that I can remember, which is what makes it so damn frustrating.

fucking terrible. I honestly can't ever remember a team with this much talent who looked more consistently lost on offense. Your 5 guys at the Y analogy is perfect.

I watched that entire game tonight and it sickened me. The worst part is I fucking work in Georgetown, so I know I'm going to have to deal with at least one douche tomorrow. I can't stand Georgetown to begin with - not just because of the Big East rivalry, but people who went to Georgetown are always super snooty towards people who went to GW or American (where I went). Watching UConn lose to them is torture.

I'm just thankful I ended up not getting tickets to this one.

Chargers/Steelers updated. damailman is around 2-3 tomorrow, and then 8pm. he can also play later tonight, but I'm not sure if Zurezo is around. So if no word from the Steelers, we'll slide in a sub for the Steelers at 8 tomorrow. Hopefully that's the final game.

I'll probably hand off the commish duties to you tomorrow morning then (or someone else if you won't be around). I probably won't be back home tomorrow night until at least 10 or 11.

Also, I answered your UConn rant on the last page in case you missed it. ;)

It's really on Calhoun at this point as much as I hate to say it. He's got to either go with the veteran players (Napier at PG and Oriakhi at C) and bring the freshmen off the bench, or if he really thinks Boatright and Drummond are his guys then stick with them. They looked great the first 5 minutes of the game, then Napier comes in and it goes to shit. There's no leadership on this team and I think that's partly on Calhoun for jerking the minutes around.

If only Kemba had come back instead of toiling away for the worst team in the NBA. There was never really much shot of him coming back for his senior year though, and even if he had they probably don't land Drummond, so it's probably not worth playing what-if.

Hopefully they figure it out at some point this season, because they've got a lot of work to do to even get in the tournament, which would be a colossal flop for a pre-season top 4 team. If they don't, things don't look promising since both Drummond and Lamb are likely gone next year.

Don't watch much college basketball but kentucky looks serious, I would love to see a couple of them in celtic green next year.

Also the titans are still in search of a TE if anyone is tryin to move one. My trade with superstar got cockblocked I guess, never heard back from him after everyone told him hope sucks. Hope is still on the block if neones lookin for an 83 SS.
Bv u think were gonna win? How close was it last year
Not close, but we were up against much stiffer competition last year. I think we've got a shot this year if we get out the vote!

College basketball isn't even in full swing yet, the season usually doesn't start till the Big East tourney for me....but i have been watching more this year because in my mind the NBA is not even worth watching this year till the playoffs when people start playing defense.

UCONN has all the pieces, they need to develop a little more, plus Shabazz Napier is no slouch, he has the potential to be a better offensive player than Kemba.

On the topic of another leaggue...I'm down, dibs on the pats too. I don't see a fantasy draft working at all, in order for a draft to work u need EVERYONE to be present for the draft, and u need the most committed players and a couple have dropped out and a few have already said they have no interest so, I say wwe don't do a draft.

I've been wanting to get a draft going tho if neones interested, it would be slow paced, maybe 10 owners max, play ur games against the cpu, sim every 3 days or so. All madden no injuries, just for fun.

We need at least 16 owners. If we dip into the jv league, we need to choose wisely. Its gonna be hard to replace kids who leave so we can't have anyone who's gonna quit if they lose.

I like the idea of another league right now, we could try some new shit too. Salary cap would be interesting.

I vote no on the 2nd league...this point in the cycle is when its the hardest to keep guys interested in the one league we have. Adding another would only further diminish the interest in the "main" league. It already seems we've slowed down a bit

I have interest in another league, but realistically, can't make it happen. I already have 2 leagues right now, plus I try to help out with subs when I can in the JV league. I'm switching jobs later this month too and it will cut into my play time.

I've never gotten into college basketball, it has never seemed to be much more than a pro farm, especially since most of the elite guys are 1 and done.

Now pro basketball on the other hand....I watch it all the time. I know people say they don't play defense but that just isn't true. Sure some guys lag up and down and would rather not rotate and play help defense but most of the time they do. I don't think people realize how good pro players are and how hard that makes them to defend. I would argue that most college players suck (relative to pro players of course) and therefore give the appearance of playing 'good' D.

Hansbrough (sp) is a good example. This guy was an offensive force in college and is riding the pine in the pros. You're telling me they don't play defense? Puuuhleaze

Edit: looks like he starts, but splits minutes with David West. My point still stands. They play defense in the pros, players are just better in the pros.

This is all true, but I find CBB to be so much more engaging than the NBA. I feel like the kids playing the game give it their all every time and care more, because they're not getting paid (with some exceptions) and play because they love the game.

Since that is where you find the most enjoyment of the college game, I would recommend reading this book sometime if you have not already:

Yeah I can't get into College Basketball either. The regular season is just dull. Only time I watch is during March Madness.

As for the NBA, watch Chicago's games if you want to see a defensive clinic.

Yeah until LBJ jumps over them :D

The Chicago Bears and the Arizona Cardinals have come to a trade Agreement.

I'll be getting the Depth Chart ratings at lunch and will be posting it up around 12:30 PST
Yeah until LBJ jumps over them :D
The 36th President of the United States Lyndon Johnson is playing hoops now?

That I gotta see

Bahahaha. No, even though LeBron is my fav player I refuse to call him King James. Unless my wife is trying to argue that Kobe is better ;)
Yeah until LBJ jumps over them :D
There's no reason they shouldn't win an NBA title this season.

I'm in the trade Wade camp. LeBron is so much better when Wade isn't on the court.

Just in the clutch. Otherwise I'd take LeBron every time.

Wait until Dwight makes his move to the Bean, then we will see whose got the title in the bag. If you put Dwight on the Celtics, we could asily have the best defense, and most depth, depending on what we give up.

He's got to stop deferring to Wade. I wouldn't trade Wade, I'd just work the rotation so they are separated more often than not. Could you imagine playing your rotational guys against Wade or LeBron, seems too easy. I can't figure out why Spolesta doesn't see that. They should've win last year, he was to busy dicking with the lineup in the effing Finals.

You would like a drama filled cry baby, who can't get it done in the Clutch, and absolutely got shit on last night!!!!!...Jenning's went off last night.
Doom, are you a Bulls fan, too?
Kings unfortunately. I didn't really have a team until I moved here.

Prez is the Bulls fan, so I give him shit whenever I can(which isn't too often)
Simple, if Dwight doesn't want to sign any where else, leaving the magic to take what offers they can get; to where Dwight wants to go...They will not allow him to hit free agency without anything!!!

Not sure what that is supposed to mean, if that was a shot at me, I'd like to at least hear your reasoning. I will say that LeBron did his part last night.

You'll have him for half a season...congratulations?

Kevin Garnett, may be a worse basketball player. But he has 100x more heart than Lebron has ever shown.

hey Staticz... I don't know how I'm quoted on that crybaby comment. But that was clearly widdow.

C'mon man, get your quotes in order

Doom, your smiley face game never ceases to amaze me.

If you consider doing his part, by playing for one quarter then he did his part.....

Celtics could sign him since Ray Allen and Garnett are coming off the books. Jermaine the scrub will be a free agent too. Rondo and Howard would be a nice pair. I'd trade Paulina Pierce if Howard shows up.
