every problam has came from our side of this.... if u can play at five use a sub he doesnt get home from wprk till 1030.... no reason to wait for him bills arnt makin playoffs
 
Does any care if I play the cpu or something or someone could play for me I have my depth cart set up the way I want it, just don't want to sim and get another person hurt on D

As I told Uber, I never got a response from you. I can't play that late because I won't be home. Since I have been available, PM'ed him yesterday and never got a PM back, I should get the opportunity to play a sub. I have not had a losing season in this league yet, and I shouldn't get one due to a sim.

I'm not even sure why you want to win, since the difference between a win and a loss could be 6 or 7 spots in the draft.

If a sub is fine with Pacer, that's fine with me, as long as you can play early this evening.
 
What bothers me is that he says he PM'ed me back and he never did. I PM'ed him yesterday morning and I also posted in the thread saying I was available all last night (played Mass Effect 2) but that I couldn't start a game today any later than 6:45 Eastern time.

The whole thing was sort of silly yesterday. You were both in the thread at one point saying "I PMed him! Waiting!" when either of you could have simply sent another PM since it looks like you were both waiting on the other.

Either way, we'll figure it out. But it just seemed odd you two weren't able to connect yesterday when you both seemed available in the thread.

"It's on him" is a little too accusatory for my tastes. He assumed you received a PM from him. Obviously you didn't, but I don't think this was for lack of trying. We don't need to turn this into a blame game here. After I heard from Pacer via text (as per your request) I did let you know in the thread that he was waiting on a PM to be returned.

I'm sure we can find a sub no problem, regardless. I doubt Pacer is too hell bent on getting this game in if it means holding up the league beyond today.

Did we lose our only Louisville fan in gbpackers? I may want to unload Powell and he should be solid going into another year of advancement.
 
Anyone have updates on the Ravens-Chargers or Cowboys-Giants (all he needs to do is grab any sub in this case). Definitely want those two played today.

Also, I'd suggest all playoff teams start contacting their opponents and scheduling their round 1 games.

Steelers at Chiefs/Ravens
Chargers at Texans
Lions at Bucs
Redskins at Rams/Cowboys

I'd like to avoid a situation where we're waiting on one straggler game - and I'm still hoping we can finish the entire thing this weekend.

Sounds like Pacer is the one who wasn't available.

The only other game of particular concern is the Cowboys-Giants, but I haven't seen anything from him since we advanced.

I haven't heard about anything else being scheduled, except for Texans-Bills having difficulty finding a time. Ramesu said he was fine with a sim if it came to that (and I'll be turning injuries off for the advance).

Well, yes, we were talking about a sub since Pacer couldn't play today. Matt said he's around today, I just didn't know what was the time frame. I know he's west coast so there's a chance it may be like... 9pm EST. Obviously we can't wait that long. If we can nail down a time and find a sub I'm fine with waiting up to a couple hours after this 3pm EST game since he expressed interest in getting it done.

BV, if you can PM those first round teams that would be great. Just bring their attention that we'll be advancing around 5-6pm EST and to schedule their games.

I definitely don't want to hold things up or get into a huge argument, but I was just stating facts. I am available now if there is a sub, or- as stated previously- I can start a game at any time between now and 6:45 P.M. Eastern. I'll be leaving the house around 7:45 P.M. Eastern.

It's entirely possible for someone to think they sent a PM but it doesn't go through. It's happened to me, especially if I'm doing so from my phone. Either way, it doesn't matter.

A sub is fine with me if that's what you want. I'll be home around 5:30EST and can boot Pacer then. Does anyone want to sub?

Well I'm feeling pretty good going into the playoffs...I played all my starters in the 1st half and probably held the Chargers to roughly 10 yards of offense or so, and overachiever Thaddeus Gibson was completely dominating his man, getting 3 sacks in the 1st half before getting benched. Was up 24-0 at the end of the half, so I decided to bench MOST of my starters...still had Ed Reed and Earl Thomas at safety and all my starting o-line/WRs. I quickly gave up a long TD on his first possession of the 2nd half to get to 24-7, but that's the closest the score got. I was worried I might have put in my subs a little too early...but luckily my back-up HB (Marshawn Lynch) is pretty darn good so I was able to run pretty successfully the entire 2nd half since I had my starting o-line in too...and damailman was resting his defensive starters in the 2nd half too.

Baltimore advances to playoffs with a 1st round bye AND a clean bill of health for all players!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they have moved there first and second round pick.
also have moved terry taylor and jaquizz rodgers.

Just as a point of clarification: You haven't moved anybody until after trades are submitted/approved, which can't happen until after the postseason ends.

Are you guys following this bounty program news about the Saints? They're are about to feel the Long Arm of Goodell. Based on some of the stuff in the report, it wouldn't be surprising if whoever is using the Saints in Madden 13 is doing so without Jonathan Vilma, and maybe a few others. Schefter on NFL Live: "In week of the NFCCG, Jonathan Vilma put $10K on a table & said 'this goes to the guy that knocks out Brett Favre.'" Yikes.
 
ya ive been reading it. im sure every team does it. im sure the guy who hurt brady on the chiefs got paid like a MOTHER fuckER from his team. but they kept it hush hush real good

I'd tend to agree. The same is likely true of Spygate though, and I can tell you from personal experience that the team who gets caught is still treated just as severely.

Guys like Peter King and Adam Schefter are already saying they expect the punishment here to be significantly worse than Spygate. It'll be interesting to see if it becomes as much of a media circus though.
