i told him chris hopes gonna injure vick since he hurt stafford
I think Stafford got hurt cause of all the Vick is gonna get hurt talk.

Pre-emptive strike, Locker may be benched next game, insurance policies won't let him out there.
hes actually why the made the no subbing ur qb rule in a series lol
I don't think LV can top that on side note can we get rid of that rule maybe I could convert 3rd down more often

I certainly would like to use it. One of my formation has a back up QB option, would love to have T-Jak take the harder hits when I'm planning on Vicking on someone.

Do you use it in the JV league Tanabeo?

Gg MA. You can thank me during your acceptance speech when you win any defensive player awards.

So what I've learned: Trading for Best was a waste. I think I replaced Wilson fine and who knows what was available at the draft in the 2nd round, but what a bust Best was this game. Sanchez can't throw much better than my rookie QB McCorkle. He missed Keller on a number of easy routes to the sideline. Sailed way over Keller's head. I think McCorkle was more accurate and his accuracy in about half of what Sanchez's is, ratings wise. Best sucks. My D is alright still. But when you throw 4-6 picks, fumble it once and just generally do nothing on offense, it's hard to keep the opposition out of the endzone for long. What a terrible, terrible game for the Jets. Oh, and Best sucks.

What I like most about this league is improving your team from season to season, but my team hasn't improved at all from last year. Obviously MA is one of the best players in the league so I wasn't expecting to go out and run him out the building. It would have been nice to at least stay competitive for the whole game and maybe, say, get in the endzone once. What bums me out about Best, is that he was supposed to be the improvement to a rather stagnant offense. And his longest run was on a draw play on 3rd and 8 for 4 yards (off memory).

Gg man...yeah I could see you were very indecisive on which QB you wanted to use that game lol. If you're interested, I got Flacco on the trading block but he's pretty similar (actually a little worse except for THP) to Sanchez so I dunno if you care to trade for him. Although you could see firsthand he can make pretty much any throws...

GREAT game for my rookies:

1st round pick - DT Pappas Walker - 2 sacks

2nd round pick - CB Spencer Carnes - 1 (unofficial) interception, since it was wiped clean from the statbook for some reason...he picked off a pass and ran it back like 10-15 yards or so and then uber challenged the play out of frustration I think, and the game overturned the interception but gave me the ball and everything just as if the play had stood.

3rd round pick - MLB Jocqua Joseph - 2 tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 forced fumble; I was usering him so I'd take those stats with a grain of salt...but I definitely found my Ray Lewis substitute. He's only a 64 OVR and D potential...but he has 87 tackle, 91 hit power, 90 block shedding, 86 acceleration, 78 speed (he feels just as fast as any LB i've ever usered in this game though). He's right where I need him right now, so I don't care about the D potential as long as he doesn't regress in the next couple seasons which I don't expect him to. Sturdivant's stats (not attributes) dropped significantly from the production I got out of Ray Lewis, so I don't think he was the answer there at MLB for me. He'll still make for a solid #2 OLB though.

And for the very first time, I gave my OLB Conor Murphy (in his 3rd year now...was one of my draft picks in our first draft in the league) the start at DE over Thaddeus Gibson and he got 3 sacks in his debut, so I'm pretty happy about that too.

I put Tyrod Taylor into the game in the 4th quarter and he came away with a perfect 158.3 QB rating!! 1 for 1 for 13 yards and a TD is all it takes apparently lol.

BTW I've always thought HBs are so overrated in this game, you can have a great HB but he can't make too many plays on his own if he keeps getting stuffed in the backfield. That's what happened to Best pretty much all game. That's why I prefer to just get a beast power back and hope he trucks or stiff arms defenders on his way to a positive gain. Really the only important stat for me is carry...I think you can get good production out of basically any HB in the game.

But it's still definitely too early to get discouraged about Best anyways uber...I DID have the best run defense in the league LAST year, and my 1st round pick this year is a new #2 DT with 95 block shedding, so my run defense only got better. I imagine he's pretty useful in the passing game too, but you didn't utilize him too much there except for a couple screen passes I think.

I was wondering what was overturned since you still had the ball. I just hit that on accident actually. I was just trying to get whoever threw the pick out of the game. I really should have stuck with one, but they were both so bad I couldn't decide. Jared Todd almost made an appearance haha.

Very true. I don't think there was even a hole for Best in his 7 attempts besides on that draw in an obvious passing situation. I never really understood how people were able to run around the pile with speed backs. When there was no opening I took it to the outside a couple times and the LB would run stride for stride with me or cut me off immediately. I'll give him another chance since I did waste a pick and a player on the guy, but Greene is probably the better bet.

Lol I didn't get him with my MLB at all I don't think!! He only had 2 tackles all game and 1 was on a Mark Sanchez QB scramble 10 yards past the line of scrimmage! I know Jimmy Smith (my CB) got Best on a couple short 1 or 2 yard gains when he tried to take it to the outside.
Anybody else want to weigh in on the trade for Tebow?
I'll trade Bradford,Jackson,Welker for him. I'll even throw in a 1st rounder to even it out.

Nope. ;)
Still nothing from Yanksfan...
Are you actually contacting yanksfan? Because he's the old owner of the Giants who is no longer in the league..

Giants- 41
Cowboys- 20

Giants return kickoff 108 yds for a TD to start the game. The game then proceeds to a defensive battle for the rest of the half with the Giants only giving up 1 TD, and the Cowboys giving up 2 40+ FGs. The Cowboys fall apart with turnovers (6 total), and results in too many points for them to be able to recover. Giants throw up 28 points compared to the Cowboys 13 points in the second half. My backup FS, occasional CB Antrel Rolle got knocked out for 2 weeks.

Notable Stats:

Giants Offense:
A. Peterson 18 atts 164 yds 3 TDs
H. Nicks 2 rcpt 55 yds 1 TD

Giants Defense:
T. Thomas 2 INTs

Cowboys Offense:
J. Witten 11 rcpts 116 yds 1 TD
D. Bryant 6 rcpts 97 yds 1 TD

Cowboys Defense:
A. Ball 1 INT 4 TCKLs

Meant YanksRule. I sent him a FR and MSG on Xbox Live along with a PM, still nothing. Though LV said he 'knows I'm looking for him.'

I just want to play my damn game, how is everyone not fired up for the new season :D Gotta see if I can roll without Rice.

Anyone finished Mass Effect 3 yet? I'm still not sure what to believe, but I'm not to the point where I feel like I need to be part of a petition so Bioware changes the ending.

Fanboys are nuts.

I never really understood why you were looking to replace a guy coming off of 2273 yards and 23TDs to begin with.

Dude. Ugh.

My comments in the spoiler below. BE Warned. END GAME SPOILER.
It's horrible. The point of the ending is to leave you empty, comtemplative, and it is FILLED with existential nihilism. Nothing matters.

I'm not kidding... and I'm not alone. There's currently a 883 PAGE (not post) thread on the BioWare forums about the ending and 95% of them (no exaggeration) are like mine.

However,I'll give them credit for the game being, all and all, pretty great.

I had nitpicks, but in contrast to how they bring it in for a landing they're like complaining about the brand of nuts served before the plane bursts into flames as it strikes the ground, killing everyone aboard.

It was very emotional, and the build up to the ending is GREAT. Such a fitting closing until the appearance of the...thing.

Then, they might as well played a RickRoll.

I was wanting this guy to fall to the 4th I figured he would with him being a 64 OVR

Also ME3 Ending spoilers
Yeah the past half hour or so I've been all over the place reading conspiracy theories as well as the Bioware forums. Still don't know what to believe. I agree that there was no real payoff with all the decisions that have been made. "Oh hey, my buddies crashed on a planet and they're all ok!" I was expecting a lot more closure than that.

Though from what I've read, Shepard and everything else that happened with the Crucidble in that last 20 minutes of the game, was simply, a dream. Shepard dies when Harbinger beams him straight to the dome, which makes sense because I thought I had fucked up at that point (even though I was zig-zagging so I wouldn't get lasered )

The Synergy and Control Endings are what the Reapers want you to choose, which is why the Destroy ending seems so downplayed and wrong when the boy is explaining it.

Also note that the Destroy ending is the only ending Shepard wakes up, meaning he has broken free from his indoctrination. Some theories also suggest the crash where Joker and your friends come out of the ship is also a vision of Shep's damaged brain, right before he dies.

The theories are all along those lines. Saren and his plunge into insanity in Mass Effect 1 is also brought up and how it may explain the odd behavior (dreams) that Shep has in ME 3.

Who knows, but I think I'll spend all my time figuring out which theory makes the most sense, rather than settling for what everyone thinks really happened.

If you take it a face value, it's not horrible (Fallout 3), but it's not satisfying either.

Despite the ending, still the best game I've played in a long time. AND, the multiplayer doesn't suck.

well... after a season-long hiatus, i return to find out that there is something seriously wrong with my run D. I couldnt stop Michael Turner for shit. Kaepernick played pretty well (all things considered). My O-Line got obliterated every time i tried to run the ball so Gore was a non factor. 42-24 was the final score but i never really felt out of the game... had opportunities to make plays and didnt, and i made some bonehead mistakes that wont be happening as i get back into the swing of things. gotta get some ranked games in to shake this rust off... GG Reds.

Remaining Games

Chargers-Texans
Steelers-Titans (tomorrow)

I like our chances to advance tomorrow evening. Any word on scheduling the rest of these games?

I need a guy who once he gets past the safeties can actually out run the D for a score. Greene was caught too many times. If I was able to find those same holes with Best he would do much better than 2273 yards. And I wouldn't be on the bottom in scoring.
