Yeah, they're down across the board, as I couldn't connect in NHL 11 earlier either. Maybe some necessary maintenance due to the influx of players Madden caused.

I'm getting the hof edition in the mail. It's just the regular edition with some cards right and a signed Marshall Faulk card? And a head start on your Ultimate Team? (which I never play anyway), I'm one of those dive in and play guys.

Not sure this is the type of question that should be asked on CAG, but to a normal person, is that worth the extra $20?
 
Its $30 extra. And if you aren't playing the MUT mode then I would say no way. Unless you are a huge Marshall Faulk fan.

It comes with a code to download several great players for MUT and a signed Faulk card. Thats it. Theres a slim chance that your signed card may be 18k gold. 2 in 125000.

thanks for the info.

I'm not banking on getting the gold card. Any idea if the MUT stuff is DLC? Can I just sell them?
 
I'm still waiting for my game in the mail. I hope I get it soon so I can put my playbook together.
 
I guess I'm glad I canceled my Amazon order when I did. I suspected that it was going to be a while when the Amazon rep pretty much dared me to cancel it and once I put in a cancel request the order was canceled within minutes. They must have been really backed up.

You definitely went the right route. A $10 credit and a refund of the $0.99 shipping wasn't worth getting the game at 7:00 PM EST on Thursday night.
 
So I was wrong on my Eagles prediction. Because they rid your online record this year and only show your DNF, more people are picking different teams. It's awesome! The random drops still occur unfortunately and my DNF suffered because of it.

My opponent and I have contacted each other, but due to my schedule the last few nights and his schedule this weekend, I don't think we can play until Tuesday. How long is this week going to go? Does it even matter if we're considering waiting for a roster update?

You should absolutely NOT be scheduling your Week 1 games. At this point odds are that we'll be restarting the league. I think we're just waiting to see when the roster update will be.

I repeat: The league has NOT started. Do not play league games, they won't count.

Good, because of Amazon and work I have yet to even open the game.
 
Hopefully the new roster will be up in a couple of days. The Patriots went ahead and cut my fullback (Sammy Morris), my Kick Returner (Brandon Tate) and one of my safeties (Brandom Meriweather). As a Pats fan, I'm fine with these moves, since BM has been overrated for years, but it's definitely going to hurt me in Madden since they had BM rated way higher than he should have been.
 
Has anyone else had issues with the game freezing at the title screen? I haven't played in a couple days, and now when I go in and try it simply won't load past the title screen.
 
i've yet to experience this myself.

Happened twice to me tonight....before i can hit start...it stalls on "loading"

Happened to me on Thursday.
 
so, a quick update on my "gamertag" situation.....

Last saturday morning (7:30am) someone charged up 16000 microsoft points on my account (and my credit card) for a tune of $150.

Microsoft immediately refunded my funds at 10:30 am that morning....but have decided (as of yesterday) to put my account in "investigation status"....what this apparently means is i can do jack shit with my account;-/ It's locked for 25-30 days while they complete their "fraud investigation"

So, i've created a new temporary gamertag, and linked it to my ea account....so i can play online (thank the lords)..... I'd ask you to kick me from the current league uber..but i'm sure we're going to start a new one with the new roster...so i'll join the new one when it starts....

But, to summarize for those who skip the bottom....

new (temporary) gamer tag: feroci0us2

Will have original gamertag back in 30 days i suppose...

Yeah, it's happened to me once. My guess would be something to do with trying to connect to the server. And since EA's had server issues, the game just chugs really bad at that part (and probably occasionally crashes if it can't connect). If it's not server related, then EA's Q&A has reached a new low, lol.

Hey BvHarris , Can you change the community settings and make games All- Pro or All Madden , 5 min No accelerated clocks ?
 
As BV said everything is on hold until the latest roster update. Please join the community group (posted in the OP) in the meantime and feel free to scrim.
 
I don't know if this has been brought up already, but the word around the streets is that the roster update is coming out on Thursday. Just heard it from people on another site so I wouldn't be able to link any articles or anything...
 
do different stores have different copies of the game? I want to play it tonight, but Best Buy already closed. My idea is to buy it from walmart, then go back to best buy tuesday or wednesday to use a giftcard and then return it to wally world.

You should be able to. I've done it in the past with Walmart and Amazon.

I haven't put a ton of time into the game (maybe 8 games under my belt, tops), but so far I tend to agree with this. Even Madden 11 was a step forward for the run game, creating more animations that had the runner gain a couple yards after contact, the ability to get through a pile, etc. This year's seems to expand on that a bit.

Throwing I think there might be more of an adjustment, but I do find DBs/LBs getting their hands on a lot more balls than you'd expect when they drop in zone.
 
Boy I finally played the madden12 demo, maybe I'm just used to ncaa12 from playing it a lot recently but madden 12 felt really weird. Madden really needs the hurry up playcalling ncaa has too.
 
If anyone wants to get in some community scrims today, let me know. I'm hitting up the grocery store shortly, but after that I'm wide open til about 6pm EDT.

It's really weird.

Last year if anyone remembers playing me I threw a lot and sucked at running. This year is the opposite. I am doing well running the ball but not so much throwing. I guess that's a good thing since this year I have AP ;)
