Its not your dad I'm sacred of its your mom she will just sneak up behind you and start beating you with a metal hanger then ask questions.

Cowboys - 16
Giants - 3

Apple outplayed me tonight, no doubt about it. He did a great job passing the ball (130 QB rating), including a long TD to Witten in the first quarter, which would prove to be the only TD of the contest. I drove into Cowboys territory a few times, but would be stopped each and every single time with some big stops, sometimes leaving me inches away from a first down.

By the end of the game, I was making some noob passes, trying to force things and I just cannot do that against an experienced player. He picked me off time after time.

Apple could have tried to rub in the score more in the 4th, but kept it on the ground and ran down the clock. It was appreciated and showed him to be a good, respectful player in this league.
Im winning the division!!! Kid got to have confidence ur a little bitch just admitted u were an easy win hahahhaa u suck u shouldnt have even been in that game mallett sucks u suck and stop talkin shit u got no game
And on the other side of the coin..

Gg mattny, I really enjoyed our matchup. You had a couple terrific goal line stands. If it werent for a couple errant throw by manning, I truly believe the score would of been even closer. The final score was 16-3, the cowboys got the first win of the season, I'm halfway to my final record as of last year. Written got 3 catches over 100 yards receiving with one td. One of the catches was a great catch and a tackle where Witten being Witten shoved away and took it to the house. Great game again Matt and welcome to the league.

I prefer your welcoming than I did Witten's. ;) You are right, it was a beast play.

You did a great job picking those passes. Got to give you credit, because you picked each one of them.

Definitely looking forward to the rematch. :applause:

You two (yanksrule and tanabeo) have already received more than your fair share of warnings to knock this bullshit off. This is the last one.

Moving on.. I'm gonna look at these trades now.

TRADE ALERT

Panthers Give

SS Charles Godfrey, 27 yo, B pot, 85 ovr (XFN)
HB Cedric Benson, 30 yo, B pot, 82 ovr (XFN)

Cardinals give

HB Ryan Williams, 23 yo, A pot, 85 ovr (Depth Chart)
SS Torian Nesby, 23 yo, C pot, 69 ovr (Depth Chart)
Cardinals 4th round pick

This is fine I guess. I would like to see the DC ratings for the Panthers players before giving a final sign-off.

---------------------------

trade alert

Matt Schaub- overall 87 age 33 pot A
3RD rounder

for
the Titans 1ST Rounder

DVO is taking a huge loss here obviously, but he's desperate to move Schaub and this seems like its the best he could do.. I'm surprised he's moving him in the division, but I guess it's already happened once.

---------------------------

Redskins trade
Roy Helu (81, 2x, B)

For

Falcons
Jason Snelling (78, 28, B)
3rd round pick
No issue with this.
Pretty happy with my draft choices after one game, but I do need help with my pass defense
I'm sad to report that when I snuck my 5'8" 224 pound 99 speed WR onto the field late in the Titans gave he was neither morbidly obese to the point of being spheroid nor even particularly chunky looking at all. I even sent him in motion to see if he would roll across the field or waddle at supersonic speed like some sort of juiced up penguin.. no dice. I feel like I was sold a bill of goods when I saw his weight.

I can safely declare this draft class a bust for the Patriots.
so im taking it as the jag titans trade is still up in the air
I believe it still needs uber's approval, right? I'm fine with it.

lol i know that i was just unsure if u were even cool with it or not ur judgement on it was unclear

Weren't you telling me there were some hidden gems? The talent pool, imo, was pretty shallow. Everyone I considered a first round choice was gone by the time I got a chance at it. Picked up a nice TE though - 90 SPD 82 CTH and some other pretty appealing stats.

That comment was directly tied to the first part of the post. ;)

I didn't get any starters in the draft, but I didn't expect to not having a 1st rounder. I got some solid depth guys though, so I'm not too broken up about it.
Ban Doom movement is over?
Probably. I don't think there's enough room in the user title to ban ban banning Doom, unfortunately.

It didn't save my edit. It looked like a shot at BV, it wasn't. Let's try that again :p

EDIT: Your avatar is confusing me lulz

EDIT2: fixed above post.

i say u sign up a second account join the nfc an see if doom plays doom in superbowl 3 lol
There were some hidden gems, they just weren't as hidden as I thought since other people picked 'em before I could. :D

Uber taking that guard in the second round killed me. Last time I talk beer with that guy

I'd consider that 74 OVR OLB somewhat of a "hidden" gem...I was hoping he'd be overlooked in the first round but apparently people did their research!!! Got him in my other league :)

I agree with all this. I know the Helu deal was questioned about the 3rd, but I think it's necessary since he's much young/better than Snelling.

As for the Schaub deal, I agree with what some said that the 3rd there is a bit unnecessary especially where BSETI might be picking as opposed to DVO. I don't want to make assumptions this early in the season, but based on last year the Titans could nab a starting QB within their own division for the cost of moving down just 37~ picks. With that all said, if BV is okay with it and DVO is obviously on board... I'm fine with it. I know DVO had some difficulty dealing Schaub so to get a 1st rounder is still a fine deal.

Oops! Hey, a lot of the guys I was looking at (the 74 OVR OLB MA mentions here) I assumed would fall in the 2nd to me. Once I saw that LB go in the 1st, I realized my projections were way off and I had to grab that LG ASAP.

I still don't get what's so good about that LG Uber took...I don't see that guy being worthy of being taken in the 2nd round even if he's A potential. He has pretty good run block strength (90), but other than that...his other blocking stats are mediocre at best and his awareness is horrible. High impact blocking too I guess although I dunno how important that is if the other stats aren't high enough to complement it. Is it because his jumping is 52??

yay i got two first rounders in the next draft hope the league goes for 5 seasons i know its never made it past 4 but a guy can hope right and they way i play my second rounder is pretty much a 1st rounder too lol

Personally he just fit a need. Slauson (my previous starter) is pretty comparable but as a B pot hasn't improved much. My hope is that with A ppt he can out progress Slauson in a year and be nearly as serviceable in the meantime.

Many of the other guys I looked at were already scooped up but I limited my scouting to specific positions so I'm sure I missed someone better.
Many of the other guys I looked at were already scooped up but I limited my scouting to specific positions so I'm sure I missed someone better.
Same, I turned the other cheek with that TE was still available at 23.

Yeah, I mean he's definitely a solid prospect being A potential and all...but I feel like I've heard like 4 or 5 different times about your awesome LG that people wish they had taken so I was way underwhelmed when I saw his stats.

Just for reference...I was scouting a particular LT that I remember sprice took in the 2nd round with his pick (which was bottom 10). He's 75 OVR B potential - 88 impact blocking, 96 RBS, 90 RBF, 90 PBS, 78 PBF and 52 awareness (like 20 points higher than your LG). I know he's a LT...but I'm sure LT could transition well enough one spot over into LG. There was no way I'd pass up that guy for the LG you took just because of the A potential...maybe that's just me. There was also a pretty good 77 OVR LT which was available at the time too.

Sorry if I'm being too aggressive here lol, I was just curious....I think you had a nice draft regardless of how I feel about that LG.

Last year in the second round I got a 77A LG this year I got a 70A RT. huge difference.

Last year:
1st- N/A
2nd- LG 77A
3rd- WR 70B

This year:
1st- ROLB 74A
2nd- RT 70A
3rd- SS 74B

Last year:
1st round - TE 84 OVR A pot
2nd round - HB 77 OVR A pot
3rd round - DT 75 OVR B pot

This year:
1st round - LT 80 OVR B pot
2nd round - WR 76 OVR A pot
3rd round - DT 70 OVR C pot

Obviously the fact that I had the 31st pick this time around instead of 25th or w/e factored into it some...but still, way worse for me too this year.

belive hes a a pot
I'll say this about the depth of the draft: There was certainly no Cobie Ross sitting there at #30 this year.
Well yeah....that's because i picked him at #11! :p

seriously i need nothing wrong and i know i lost im not bitchin i just knew sneaks were bs and he did it if he cant be a man and stand up to it then screw him ill see u week 17 and promise 40 points!!!! not my fault it was my first time playin wit that team so grow up u need to practice cause there is no way u are goin anywhere in this league playin me like you did 2 ridiculous picks no talent!!

I feel like I did good with my first 3 picks I'm not smart with the stats as MA pointed out a few days ago so if someone could tune in and tell me if these were smart or not would be good.

#24 Denzel Tate CB B POT

A few of his stats are 65 Play Rec 90 Man and 87 zone 66 press I picked him up because at that time I think he was the last CB I could pick up and start this year

#30 RG Gordon Terry B POT

Pass Block 82 Run Block 84 Impact 93 Run Strength 87 Run Footwork 82 Pass Strength 88 Pass Footwork 75 I may be missing something stat wise but I felt like he is a good replacement at LG for me.

#37 WR Kileon Waugh B POT

92 SPD 73 CTH 71 RTE 80 CIT 80 SPC and 99 RLS This is a WR I can send deep and feel safe about it or keep him under with 99 RLS and 90+ speed he is now my #1 Deep route WR all my fastest one before him was only an 86

Apparently not. This is strike one for you. If you want to know whether I'm willing to run someone from this league for being a jackass, you can just ask Tanabeo himself. He'll tell you I'm serious.

Play your games. Cut the crap.

This is more important than real life gb! Stop lying.

Just curious, do you guys have a policy on people purchasing scouting for league games? I never ran into it playing here, and really only ever see people do it in online ranked. But it came up in the JV League, and got me wondering how common it is. It just seems kinda lame having the game tell you "they usually throw it deep and to the right here" in a league setting. You guys have an unspoken rule on that?

I have only had that happen once it was in the JV league I think I played the lions when it happened I'm with you I think it kind of sucks when they know your game plan.

I've never seen anyone do it in this league or heard about someone doing it.. If it did come up though, I would be opposed to it and I think most would agree. I'd imagine that's why no one's done it.

In my view if you want to scout your opponent, the way to do it is to look at their stats on XFN. I do that before every game and get tons of valuable information. I also have a few people in the league that I'll swap scouting info with.

The "scouting report" thing seems like a pretty unnecessary crutch. If it did ever become an issue here, I imagine it would be disallowed (after a length debate of course, as per usual).

That's basically what I figured. Seemed like common sense. But as you know, people never stop surprising you, lol.

Exactly what I said, haha.

Haha, seriously. Didn't want to start trouble here. Just seemed like one of those things that nobody thinks about, and then you see it and you wonder "Have people been doing this the entire time?" It seems especially unfair when one team buys it and the other doesn't. That was my biggest concern. It's unnecessary in and of itself, but becomes borderline cheating when only one team is doing it.

Thanks for the responses, guys. Appreciate it!
