The stats might not show it, but TJ Ward gets the game ball over my rookie CB for the 102 yard pick 6. The rookie CB though showed up Haden in his first game.
i had my eye on that guy during the draft hes gonig to be a total beast for u later on i so was very sad when i saw u pick him up
Yeah, no player from Duke will ever be successful in the NBA*.

Off the top of my head, Boozer, Deng, Grant Hill, Elton Brand at times, Sir Maximus Maggette, J.J. Redick believe it or not....I think that's about it.

Psh. You would think a top 10 college program would produce more stars than that.

Tanabeo and I may need a sub. He said he works late so the times he can play are from 12:15am-2pm while I can only play from 4pm-11pm. He may be able to get off early or something though. We'll keep you update.

Seahawks start a disappointing 0-2. GG Sprice. That pick before the half was stupid on my part. Would've been a different game. Ah well.

Schedule lightens up a bit (no playoff appearances, wouldn't call it light though) we will see if I can get this ship back in the right direction!

jags/broncos going down at 10:15 jags need a early win this season to get the ball rolling can they do it in week 2

The Vikings beat the Cardinals 20-10

It definitely feels good to get a win this early on in the season.

A lot wasn't asked of him but Christian Ponder was 8/16 for 91 yards and 1 TD

Rookie running back Rodman Brooks had 154 yards on 14 attempts and he scored his first ever NFL touchdown!

The vikings defense also managed to earn 2 sacks and 3 interceptions.

GG man! It was a fun one and I thought you we're going to come back to haunt me when you started throwing bombs with Brees.

I guess my secondary didn't want to show up today. Couldn't defend a slant or curl for the life of them. First time I've been passed all over. I shouldve just ran it. Had to pass with the clock suck. Oh well. Same old Jets. Gg.

Edit recap:
Chargers came out the exact opposite as they did at the end of last season. Instead of in full hurry up mode, they sat on the ball (12:49 TOP). It wasn't obnoxious, but you could tell the game plan changed as they attempted to run a few times before turning to full pass mode. Rivers went 22 for fucking 29. Nothing fancy here either. These Jets never got beat deep, which was a concern in the past. Just little dink and dunk slants, curls, etc. In zone, my secondary was always out of position. Even in a Cover 2 the middle was still somehow open. In man, no one could keep up. Run someone across the field long enough and they'd get open. Zero pressure from my line, which is why Rivers had so much damn time all game. The pass D was an embarrassment and something I've never seen in Madden 12. If I could publicly shame them in the papers or make them run up a hill all afternoon, I would.

Greene kept up with Week 1 and was pretty beastly all game. Ripping off major gains, but never breaking through for that one huge play. Over 7 yards per carry, so I can't complain. Unfortunately, down 10 in the 3rd I was forced to throw it a bunch. Mostly with success. Sanchez went 13 for 21. He threw a pick which was stupid and was on me. Golden Tate tore up garbage time with 118 yards. Rookie TE Patterson had his first catch and TD on a 50 yard play to put the Jets on the board. Zero bright spots on D. Jets picked up a fumble after the Chargers tried to dive after the catch, but Madden felt the need to give it right back on 20-30 yard grab from Tate two plays later. Disappointing game start to finish for the Jets.

Week 2: Dolphins @ Bills

Dolphins: 27
Bills: 0

Bills Defense: 1 Sack, 2 Forced Fumbles, 1 Fumble Recovery
Bills Offense: 17 Yards Passing / 10 Rushing Yards

Miami's Defense: 4 Sacks, 3 Interceptions
Miami's Offense: 196 Yards Passing, 2 TD / 181 Yards Rushing, 1 TD

The Dolphins arrived in Buffalo with a Mission in Mind against a Buffalo Bills team coming off a tough loss to the New York Jets.

The Dolphins defense came prepared to face a tough passing attack from the Bills. Instead, the Dolphins offense held the ball for almost 14 minutes of the game, and when the Bills Offense did get on the field (6Mins:23 secs), The Dolphins defense Pulled down 3 interceptions(2 for Ras-I Dowling) and 4 Sacks in an effort to shake Fitzpatrick's confidence a little bit. It apparently worked, holding the Bills to 17 yards passing and 10 yards rushing.

The Bills actually proved they could stop the run with an impressive Linebacking core, Holding rookie HB Antavio Bolton to 61 Yards in the First Half.
Strong Safety D. Searcy and CB A. Williams both Stripped the ball out from Bolton, with 1 recovery by D. Searcy.

jags fall to the broncos in a close one.
started off with a 14 point lead but with denvers to kickoff returns things started to go south very fast.

Week 2 provided a much more exhilarating game for Bronco nation, as they win a thriller in Florida. The Jags came out slinging the ball everywhere, jumping out to an early 14-0 lead after Gabbert hit TE Marcedes Lewis and former Bronco wideout Eric Decker for touchdowns. Making an early case for comeback player of the year, return man and early team MVP Eddie Royal escaped a tackle and raced past the Jaguars special teams and swung the momentum with a huge 99 yard touchdown return. On the ensuing Jacksonville possession, Von Miller kicked off the second quarter with a big time interception, which was followed by a 39 yard Knowshon Moreno TD. A late field goal gave the Broncos a 17-14 lead going to the half.

Determined to keep the ball away from Royal, Jacksonville aimed the kick to the other return man, Steve Breaston. In a stunning turn of events, Breaston slipped free of a tackle, received a key block, and scampered for 99 yard return touchdown of his own. Motivated by poor special teams, Gabbert and the Jags marched down the field and scored. However, a squib kick gave Denver great field position and Tim Tebow hit rookie wideout Tevin Diaz for a 42 yard score to expand their lead back to ten. Following a Jaguars punt, Tebow looked for playmaker Royal, who caught a short pass, spun away from a tackle, and blazed a trail to the end zone 62 yards later. Jacksonville picked up garbage time scores, but the Broncos held on.

STATS --
Broncos:
Tim Tebow - 8-19, 168 yds, 2 TDs, 5 INTs
Knowshon Moreno - 14 carries for 70 yds, TD
Eddie Royal - 2 rec for 70 yds, TD
Aaron Hernandez - 4 rec for 51 yds
Von Miller - 8 total tackles, 3 TFL, 2 INTs

Jaguars:
Blaine Gabbert - 16-37, 315 yds, 4 TDs, 3 INTs
Mikel Leshoure - 14 carries for 53 yds
Marcedes Lewis - 7 rec for 132 yds, 2 TDs
Ashton Whitney - 3 rec for 61 yds, TD
Eric Decker - 2 rec for 92 yds, TD
Tiras Israel - 6 total tackles, 3 INTs

Lots of fun DVO. I thought I was cooked after you got ahead early, but this rainy game allowed me to get back into it. Nothing says sloppy like 10 total turnovers, lol.
Two AFC West wins this week already. Should be a good one next week in Denver.
Shit, next week already? I'm mentally unprepared!
Shit, next week already? I'm mentally unprepared!
Haha. It will be interesting. Every Denver owner always plays me close.

In this scenario, I define "close" as less than 4 touchdowns :)

I don't want to be presumptuous here...but should we consider if maybe this new Bills owner would be better suited for the JV league right now?? I know it's only 2 games into the season...but he has been shut out both games so far, has 10 interceptions to match his 10 completions, and is averaging less than 1 yard per carry. Not trying to call him out or talk smack here, just pointing out that he is clearly struggling so far and he's obviously new, so someone might wanna at least inform him that there IS a JV league if he wants to get some better practice in. I dunno...uber and/or siradam would be better off giving their insight as to whether his skill level is subpar for this league or if he has just been getting horrible luck or y'allz defenses were just playing lights out...or if his team just sucks...which is definitely a possibility.

I know we're not ones to turn people away just because they can't quite keep up with the level of competition here, but I can't imagine beating after beating would be fun for him...especially if he's brand new to the game. I'm not calling for him to get kicked out by any means...like I said, I think we should just mention to him that there's a JV league if he wants to switch over to it.
See that it doesn't. Believe it or not I do actually keep track of strikes and what they were earned for. Someone who gets a second strike for doing the same thing should probably not expect the opportunity to get a third.
BV be on his shit...

That's probably a good idea, MA.

Sprice, have you talked to him at all about how the league is going?

I actually thought my D had something to do with it, but the 56 points are the more glaring part. And then the Chargers stomped me. So it might be best if he got some real practice in the JV league since I'm unsure if he's learning or having much fun here. It's ultimately up to him, but I would strongly recommend it.

I think it is definitely worth bringing up. JV League has plenty of open slots and I am sure he would be welcomed back here after a bit more practice. Or he could do both leagues at the very least and double up his practice time. Depends on his schedule and all.

hey that dont count me out yet that first pick could very well be mine again lol well as long as i dotn end up trading again lol already promised myself i wouldnt trade my first rounder never again lol

yea but i mean you got to give him time to adjust to the league play to be fair like.

I haven't seen anyone say he can't have the time. MA and others were just trying to come up with some helpful suggestions because no one wants to see someone get to the point that this is not fun.

he will be okay he said hes 5 and 7 in ranked matches so hes getting the hang of live a little now... its much harder playin users compared to the cpu which he was always used to... hes never had any kind of internet experience at all so thats y im doing it for him till he can get the hang of the website.. then he can decide if he wants in both leagues or watever... i kno he likes it cause he knows me mog and ballhawk so it makes him feel comfortable...

nebody wanna get a game in around noon time est?? I'm goin to get some mcdonalds breakfeast then I'm down to teach someone how to ball....
Ha, you f-ed up already Kaster. The first overall pick will be mine. :D.
Hey now. 1-15 should be plenty bad enough to get the first pick, lol.

I'm down i got a break in between classes.

Ramesu needs an O-line, when i played him they seemed to be weak, i held foster to 40 yards on the ground i wasn't expecting that what so ever.

Gotta give the man a chance right, give him a season or whatever you guys think is viable.

I tend to throw a lot of picks, but I've been working on it. Having a running game is helping a bit :p
