It is. Every reliable veteran owner we lose is a big blow, so I'm going to try my best to keep them.

uve been right there to be in the playoffs each yr... gb made it last season. some of the underdogs superstar and apple are having great seasons... i almost lost to the rams last night in a shoot out lol... i love games like these... ive been lookin forward to every game
 
I see losing as a product in being in an extremely competitive league. I understand that guys can get burnt out, but losing will happen to everyone. I've quit playing besides the league games which keeps it fresh enough for me.
 
I'll say it again: It's Week 4. I think most everyone in this league has had losing stretches. Hell, Doom has lost 2 of his last 4. It's an insanely competitive league, that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
 
Losing made me a better player. I had 2 crappy back to back seasons and now my hard work is finally showing off. Of course it could still go down the drain, but I am looking forward to every game now. Take what you can from your losses and put it towards the next game.

As for Giants-Car matchup for Week 4, I have sent Yanksrule a PM. I am hoping to get the game in today.
 
Denver owner, I should be able to play around 5 or so if you want to play tonight. I'm on mobile, which works weird with pms, but I should be able to read them at least.

We'll see. I'm still hoping that GB decides to stay, so I don't want to fill his spot just yet.

I agree with this. Not to say our new members aren't outstanding, but Id rather have GB stay
 
I don't mean to lay it on GB, but vets starting to drop out was the beginning of the end last year, and it will be again this year whenever that does happen. Last year it didn't happen until late Feb/March though.

I'm not trying to be doom and gloom about it, just trying to give a frame of reference for why I'll be aggressively pestering veterans to stay in the league (though obviously not forcing anyone's hand).

I've been wondering that myself. It's not like they all came in one game either, he's had at least 2 in the last three games. DE sacks in this game usually come against people who hold the ball too long, I've found. Not sure what his secret is though.

DVO - I just looked and it appears Gabbert will be back next week, so be sure to drop Tanico before you play your game.

And regarding Starks...i'm playing the 3-4. I donno what to tell you guys... he had 0 sacks against the rams in week 1 running the same defensive scheme i've been running in weeks 2,3, and 4. Cru was able to avoid the rush for the most part...but did get knocked down by starks 2 or 3 times during the game

Todd Heap is out for 6 weeks (That guy has not had more than 3 healthy weeks in 3 seasons!) So I'll be picking up a TE before the next game.

Im a little late on this but here is my post game.

This game I had the madden gods on my side damailman out played me so bad. Ryan Mallett was 2-11 for 15 yards and 1 INT and Steve Slaton only had 43 yards all of them after the first hit, but he did have one that he broke 31 yards at the end to finish the game.

Rivers was 21/32 294 yards 2 TDs 5 Picks and he fumbled twice.

Bucs D Quin Jr., Curry, Foster, Belcher, and Hayes all had 1 pick. Clayborn had two sacks on Rivers both making him fumble one bowers picked up and took 68 yards to the house and one McCoy took back 55 yards for the last score of the game.

Bucs Total yards 98 SD 384
Bucs First downs 4 SD 13 I was 3/11 on first downs.

Player of the game goes to Clayborn.

GG damailman I got a lucky one here you out played me I have never been shut down like that.

New England Patriots 28 - Buffalo Bills 14

The 0-3 Bills put a scare into the 3-0 Patriots in Buffalo, as the Patriots might have come in just a tad overconfident after their three straight dominant performances. Brady tried to throw the ball more than he typically does, and the results were not positive, he threw two boneheaded picks and the Bills capitalized on both. Cobie Ross had to do 100% of the lifting for the Patriots in this one, but fortunately he was up to the task.

Brady was 11-16 for 120 yards, 0 TD and 2 picks.

Fitzpatrick was 14-26 for 177 yards, 2 TDs and 1 pick.

Cobie Ross had 27 carries for 202 yards and 4 TDs.

CJ Spiller only carried it 4 times for 23 yards.

Roddy White had 6 catches for 62 yards for the Pats, nobody else had more than 1.

Jonathan Hammonds was the leading receiver for Buffalo with 5 catches for 79 yards, Stevie Johnson and Lee Smith scored the touchdowns.

The Pats sacked Fitzpatrick 4 times (2 by Wilfork), and Mayo had a nice acrobatic pick.

Kelvin Sheppard had both picks for Buffalo.

gg ravenschamp! (even though I don't think he's on CAG yet).

I can definitely dispel any notion about him not being able to hang in this league, I think with some more practice he'll definitely win some games. The picks may have been on me, but he passed the ball well after each and put it in the endzone.

I'll definitely admit I used this opportunity to try some new wrinkles, and came away with the feeling that I should probably stick to what's been working.

On the injury front, the Pats lost KR Darius Holmes for 6 weeks, so once again they'll have to go patchwork back there.

Yea you can the online franchise is more in depth than the madden one
 
I lucked out (and ditched my coworkers) and got an earlier flight back home on my layover. Best feeling ever btw haha. Anyways not sure where we are in advancing but if we are close and BSETI is around tonight I can get this game in no problem. I should be available after 8:30 I would guess. I haven't had a chance to catch up with the thread, so forgive me on that.
