You're 100% entitled to your opinion. But sending that opinion to me and telling me that I basically didn't play right (ie. "why did you bother joining?", "just play the game") is unnecessary. There is no purpose behind doing something like that other than to try to make me feel bad for playing that way. But if you want to call it "expressing your opinion", I'm not going to argue with you. It's a waste of time.

It was an 100% honest question, I wasn't grabbing my balls and jawing when I typed it out. When you joined you told me you felt you'd learned a lot about Madden and wanted to come back to this league. I guess I just assumed that meant you wanted to learn more and get better, and I really didn't understand how just running out the clock is supposed to help you with your game. If I was on the end of the losing score (and I have been plenty of times) I use it as an opportunity to try new stuff and work on my game. It was a difference in philosophy that I was curious about (and yes, bored by), not "HEY fuck YOU BUDDY!", which is apparently how you heard it.

I think the problem is that you still think I hold a grudge against you and are looking to read some malice into this when there really isn't any. I told you when you joined back up that I didn't, and I still don't. And despite what you think, I have no interest in running you out of the league, I want everyone to get something out of the league - and if for you that's working on your game, than I want you to do that. From that comes my confusion about why you'd not take the opportunity to do so. That doesn't equate to malice or ill will.

Injury bug finally got to me. Goodbye to Baldwin and Glenn Dorsey. Don't know how he fractured his foot on an arm tackle play, but that's madden for you. Luckily I didn't trade Tyson Jackson.

Ok if I pick up another FS? I didn't realize Jon McGraw retired. He was a low 60s OVR. I can pick up a scrub with a similar rating.
 
Giants- 17
Vikings- 14

Came down to control of the ball and Giants had 13 minutes and change compared to the Vikings 6 minutes and change. A pick 6 really set the Vikings up (14-10) with the lead, but they just couldn't stop the slow run game of the Giants.

I would just like to state that if I am getting beat badly, I will run the clock out also. I am just putting this out their for everyone to know (not a comment towards to the same discussion).

Yeah, Schaub had some Tebow-esque throws. I was doing really well in running D for the majority of the game, but since I was pretty much getting 3 and outs every drive. Usually my passing game is good, but not so much this time. At least I'm done with Doom for the year :D

This was 13-13 after three quarters before Baltimore went on to score 17 unanswered points in the 4th quarter. This was so damn frustrating because I was keeping pace and even seemed to be having the better game for the most part. And then I just got dominated.

I forced four fumbles, but only recovered one of them. That plus never learning to not throw over the middle on you was my downfall.

I was using a new offensive playbook that I haven't used before, but I think it worked alright and will get better with more practice.

GG, MA. I look forward to the rematch.

In a Game where the defense for both teams didn't bother to show up for the first quarter.... The Dolphins manage to eek out a win in Buffalo with a last second field goal.

The first quarter saw 4 80+ Yard Scoring Plays, (80 yard Miami run, 86 Yard Miami Pass, 80 Yard Buffalo Pass, 84 Yard Miami Pass) All of these were just incredible football plays by both teams, their offense really wanted to dominate that first quarter.

The 2nd Quarter witnessed 2 Field goals kicked in by the Bills(42 yards and 39 Yards). That was about it for the 2nd quarter.

The Bills came out with a vengance in the 3rd quarter, and scored on a 49 Yard HB Screen with 2:46 left in the quarter. With 16 Seconds left on the Buffalo 33, Dan Carpenter misses a 50 Yard Field Goal.

The Bills Get the ball back to Start out the 4th quarter and march down the field to score with 2:53 left on the clock. They sucessfully convert the two point conversion to make the score 21-28. 40 Seconds later Newcomer hits Clyde Gates on a 64 yard Touchdown with 2:00 left on the clock.

Score 28-28.

The Bills move the ball all the way down to the Miami 36. With the wind in their favor. Expecting a field Goal attempt (the clock is stopped on an incomplete pass) The Dolphins come out in a field Goal block formation. Bills send out a 4 wide fomration on 4th and 5. Miami calls it's last timeout. Dolphins call a more suitable defense for the play call, and manage to sack Fitzpatrick for an 8 yard loss. 41 Seconds left in the game. No timeouts. Somehow (after some lucky passes), The Dolphins move the ball all the way down to the Buffalo 28 yard Line. Stupidly with 14 seconds left Newcomer throws the ball way (to nobody) in an effort to stop the clock. He gets a 10 Yard penalty for intentional grounding. GREAAAAAAAAAAT. Dan Carpenter's # is called to kick a 55 Yard field goal against an 8 MPH Crosswind.

Carpenter BAREEEELY eeks it across the Crossbar (about 1 foot from the right upgright) to win the Game, Dolphins 31, Bills 28.

I was SCREAAAAMING at my TV when that kick was in the air.....

FREAKING GOOD GAME ravenschamp....you've really picked your game up. Had me quite scared for a while.
 
Lol good game Pitfall...yeah you played pretty darn well, I had some lucky throws that could have easily been interceptions. Your pass rush was beasting my o-line (seems to be a recurring theme this season) and gave me nothing in the run game too.

Believe me, it's freaking AWESOME to have a new active Steelers owner who is extremely easy to schedule with AND will prove to be competitive among the division too...I really hope you stick around for the remainder of the league.

ALRIGHT guys...I'm going on vacation tomorrow (Monday) early afternoon until Friday night, so I'll need a sub for my next game. There is no reason why I should miss more than just one game, so it shouldn't really put me behind at all (assuming I lose). I'm perfectly fine with whoever wants to sub for me...not picky if he has a lower record than mine or whatever. I already left the franchise so the team is wide open for whoever is subbing.

Yea cj maded a few plays but he took him out of the game essentially on first ad second down....kept puttin me in 3rd n long. I converted a few of them but his D is nasty, and he throws it all over the place nowadays he had me flustered at times
 
It was a damned good game....wish I hadn't thrown those two bone-headed picks. I think you went away from CJ too early but I do run a different D that is desinged to handle the run....

I've reached out 3 different ways, via PM, the thread and on XBL since we advanced and haven't heard anything. Id like to advance today myself. Haven't had a chance to play with the Eagles but did look at the roster an I gotta say If I lose then god help me in the madden world! Haha

I'm working from home this afternoon and if a sub is needed (don't know how you guys handle when someone is not responding) then let me know and I can play anytime from 1Cst to 630cst with the exception of 2-3 due to a conference call for work.

I'm anxious to play.

We generally won't have a sub step in until the last day, which would be tomorrow. Hopefully someone can get in contact with him and you can play this afternoon.

Raiders owner responded and said he could play after 7 an unfortunantely I can't play until late tonite (like after 11cst). Hopefully we can play late and if not it won't e until tomorrow evening. Sorry if we delay the advance guys.
