Madden Woes

Dear CAG Audience:
I am posting to see if anyone else here feels my virtual pain. I am soooooooooo tired of madden. When is this NFL license going to end? My main madden issues:
Superstar mode:
• You should be able to see your character in more cameos, etc.
• My actions don’t seem to be taking much of a toll on my player.
• When will I get an acceptable agent?
Create- a - player
• Shallow or almost no facial depth.
• Unrealistic torsod, faces, and limbs.
• I WANT SOME fuckING NAME RECOGNITION SOFTWARE!!!!!!!!! I AM TIRED OF HEARING “number 14 with a touchdown!”! THIS IS A SIMPLE TASK! THEY HAVE THIS SOFTWARE IN ESPN COLLEGE HOOPS 2K5, WHY DOESN’T MADDEN JUST STEAL (ANOTHER) FEATURE FROM 2K GAMES????
Franchise
• Once again, little or no depth. My piers and I usually quit around week 8.
• You really don’t feel a sense of total control as you sit upon your throne of head- coachness .
Miscellaneous
• Not enough animations (tackles, O-moves, taunts, etc.)
• I want some classic football music! who the fuck listens to dashboard confessional to get in the football mood? :bomb:
 
This is why you have the choice to not buy these games. My friend if you don't like Madden just don't play football games because the license doesn't end for a long while so you will just be shit out of luck when it comes to the NFL video game wise.
 
Totally agree with you. I hate the announcing. I want to hear Madden and Michaels to discect the game. I don't want to hear some lame ass stadium announcer. They are not even trying hard. This is the last Madden I buy.

Actually, I like the radio announcer much more than Madden and Michaels. Then again, I think John Madden is the worst part/feature in his own game.
 
This is the last Madden I buy, they changed the physics too much and it doesn't feel like the same game any more.

At this time last year I would be 3-4 years into a Franchise, this year, I can't even finish a regular season game.

I do like the mini-camp stuff, it's like Mario Party with real people.

But yeah, last year of Madden.

If JimmieMac thinks it sucks, then it sucks. :lol:
 
I'm anxious to try the Wii Madden if for no other reason than it's obvious they spent a lot of time on it, something which is not so evident in other years/versions.

Time will tell if the controls actually work and make it fun. Maybe 07 isn't the year the Wii will shine, but hopefully they'll refine things and by 08 or 09, the Wii Madden will at least be something fun to play, and different.

That being said, I agree with the OP. There's some glaring issues that a new control scheme won't fix. Here's hoping they seek to revamp the series soon.
 
I feel your pain on franchise mode, they actually got owner mode to be pretty fun the last year they had competition, but that has disappeared now from Madden. I am just holding out on the rumor that 2k is going to make an unlicesned football with NFL greats. I never like how the 2K games play, back when madden was at least innovating to keep up with them, but now that Madden has gone to absolute crap, I will jump to a 2K unlicensed game for sure.
 
Just to let you guys know, 360 is the version without madden and micheals, xbox and ps2 still have them.

I was shocked at the difference between the games when i opened up the 360 version hoping for better graphics of a game i love. The verdict still hasnt set for me but im not liking alot of what they changed on the 360 version.


Oh and as for the music, you can change your jukebox to only play the NFL classic songs.
