Made a sale at amazon marketplace the other day.

CAGiversary!
I'm a first time seller at amazon. Anyway, the buyer got their item 3 days ago but has not left feedback. I often forget to leave feedback before receiving a message to do so, so no big deal. Anyway, I wanted to ask are feedback requests automatically sent out by amazon or do I need to enable it in my seller account?

I wasn't sure where to put this topic hope this is the right board for this.

yes feedack are given out by amazon. As for not getting feedback from amazon, get used to it. Unlike ebay most people dont leave feedback.

I don't believe there is any automatic request for feedback. If you want to manually send a notification, you can send the buyer a message by going into your order list and clicking on the appropriate link in the 'contact buyer' column. That will give you the option of typing up a message to send to the buyer. One of the subject lines that you can choose is 'feedback request'.
I get feedback from about 1 in every 5 sales. There is no motivation for buyers on Amazon to leave it.
exactly, but also I think this works in reverse too, it seems more people are more willing to buy from a new seller on amazon than on ebay.

I've sold about 30 things on Amazon and only have 10 feedback to show for it.... but at least they are all 5-star.

Youre lucky you didnt get stuck with the asshat I got stuck with, when the guide I sent to this bitch didnt make it, instead of emailing me with the problem, she immediately files an ABC claim against me... and when I tried to tell her nicely how the procedure works, and how emailing me would have gotten her a refund too... she leaves me my only negative feedback...
