MadWorld $9.99

Damn! I just bought it like 5 days ago and it already shipped.
:(

edit: Just noticed trauma center was on sale at newegg too! Could've saved like $9 between both games if i had waited another day or two (and seen the newegg sale).

I'm tempted, but I've bought a few Wii games recently and it's not like I play it that much.

This was picked up in the CAG price tracker this morning, I check it daily now.

I enjoyed Madworld for what it was, but at full price, it was hard to recommend to everyone. At $10 though, I think it is worth anyone picking up as long as you are not offended easily with over the top violence.

Meh, picked this up when it was $9.99 at Gamefly and was really...I dunno...disappointed? This is a VERY repetitive, VERY bland brawler that happens to have a unique art style and cool bosses. Made it about 1/3 of the way through before becoming hopelessly bored of the combo death point system and shipping it off on Goozex. It may be worth a rental but it's not a purchase, even at this price, IMO.

My 9 year old nephew walked out the room after he saw me rip a street sign pole from the ground and stab it into a guys head.

Needless to say, this is a game where the rating badge actually matters. ;)

Got it on Goozex. After about an hour, it feels like you've done all there is to do. I offered it back on Goozex a few days later.

those who gave up on it after an hour, that's a shame, because some of the later challenges and boss battle are fairly unique. And since it clocks in at about 6 hours, with little filler like level grinding or slow walking while the character talks, it moves at a brisk pace. Later levels force your style away from the repetitive spamming that can get you through the early levels.
Also, the announcers say some really, really clever stuff that can get completely lost in the action. The writing at points is severely underrated and better than some games known primarily for the writing and dialogue.

Are you factoring all the cut scenes and videos into the total play time? I got pretty bored just sitting through those, then got even more bored stabbing people, shoving them into trash cans, impaling them through other people, then impaling them on spikes, then repeating that 100 times per level just to unlock targeting type challenges...

when I checked my playtime on the nintendo channel, it said 6 hours 1 minute, I think it counts everything, but honestly, I have no verification on that.
Later levels do allow greater variety in killing, and there are a number of environmental objects that can be used.
I think if madworld had rpg elements like uncaged, or a trophy system, a tastier carrot would have gone a long way to get people to try different killing techniques or plow through some of the repetition.
Pure high scores/points no longer have the appeal by themselves. But Nintendo hasn't embraced modern bragging rights the way sony/ms have.

hm i was always interested in getting this game..and i do have a $10 amazon credit to use (since i keep adding all new games i buy to my eca order, but i can't add the credit to the existing order)...
$4.97 at Sears and it will probably get cheaper tomorrow.
That's a clearance price, and it's YMMV, so not sure why that has anything to do with Amazon's price
Now down to 8.79
That's not Amazon's price, from a third party seller, plus its $4 extra for shipping for that $8.79.

However, I should note that the new seems to be backordered soon since shipping estimate is 1-4 weeks, and if you order it used from Warehouse deals through Amazon, its $8.49 and qualifies for FSSS but does include the original packaging, so if anyone was interested.

He's just informing the uninformed. It's also on clearance at K-mart for 4.97. Pretty much nationwide if they have stock, so it's at least worth looking for.

I show it as sold by Amazon and eligible for Prime, so I would assume it's also eligible for FSSS if you add stuff to make $25.00.

As other options, currently $2.97 at Sears and $4.97 at KMart. YMMV if your local stores have them in stock but I've seen them at most Sears/KMart stores.

I like this new trend (twice is a trend, right) of people bumping old threads with new prices when there's already a newer thread with that new price: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=254839

Both Amazon.com and Hubbagames now have it for the same price ($8.97), back in Squarehard's post (March 4th), the game was $8.97 only through Hubbagames with $3.99 shipping. Now though, Hubbagames has free shipping, so unless you have Prime, you'll probably want to go with the third party seller.

lol, i can't imagine amazon dropping this to < $10 any more times before it stops carrying it altogether...

$8.97 seems like a great way to clear out inventory
