I got 30 or so kills on the turret but it got blown up rather quickly. I got a decent amount of kills from blowing up tanks and hummers and turrets. Tanks were carrying 4 or 5 people, hummers had 2 people, turrets had the guy in it and 2 or 3 people around it fixing it.

The rest was the old fashion way.....shotgun rampage!

Actually, I wasnt at a leadership position...I dont know why but ever since I went VET (then back up to level 60 again) I rarely get chosen to be a squad or company leader. I apply every time and I never get it unless someone quits out. *shrugs
 
BFBC 2 and GOW 3. Plus I have already got to level 60 twice with valor and now I am at 30 with sver. I am just all MAGed out tbh with you. I have played this game for over a 100 hours in one month, it takes a toll. i will be playing here and there, but when they release new DLC I will be back for sure.


Yeah the shotgun owns since the patch. Since I got my 100 wins as a squad leader, I don't apply for it anymore.

Well, my respect goes to you dude, that's pretty impressive (even if you had done it turret only or aided by Leadership attacks; I was just asking to learn :)). I think my average is about 25, with a max of 40 or so kills (but working on it)

beat me by a little kill wise. My best was my first time through on sver. I was squad leader defending on domination and pretty sat in the bunker the entire game. I also had an engineering repairing me so I got 90% of my kills in the bunker.

I went 82 kills, 4 deaths, can't remember how many assists but it was over 15. I had a 64 kill streak. :p I'm so proud of that number on my profile. lol My turret eventually blew up, i wish i would have made it to 75 in a row. think i got like 1600 points, though it would have been over 2k maybe if i had the veteran bonus and all i did was kill and then heal in the last 5 minutes after we lost he bunker

and man, the ps3 is bugged and I havent been able to play since yesterday.... :(

I was hoping to get some more time in before tuesday, and i wanted to try out the shotgun again since I haven't tried it since the patch and everyone is saying it improved a ton. They nerfed my submachine gun horribly, so I was just working points up to get the shotgun, but alas, damn ps3 bugged.

I really hope this calendar bug fixes itself by 5 PM PST today when it goes to the next day, because i'll be pissed if its still broke tomorrow and i can't play BFBC 2

The thing is I have a fat 80GB PS3, it kicked me out of games twice around noon yesterday. It's worked fine ever since for me. Not very many people online though, not a single faction has over 1000 people in it in any of the game modes. I hope they fix it as well.
 
I've been playing this game for almost a week now, and I'm definitely into it. I started out noticing all of the things that it lacks when compared to MW2, but now I'm accepting it and appreciating the game for what it is.

I definitely noticed the small amount of people playing online last night. I kept seeing a lot of the same faces in games last night, which I found odd.

It's because of the problem a lot of the older PS3's are having

thats weird. I heard it was all the "fat" models. Mine is the original 60GB one upgraded with a 320 GB hdd. I had to have the disc drive fixed 9 months after i got it, but it was under warranty, and its been 3 years now with no problems.

I'm still more pissed at microsoft for their NXE fiasco on how it broke a lot of consoles with HDMI ports. The worst part was I had to wait for 6 weeks for a patch. So as long as sony doesnt take more then 6 weeks, I'll stay hate microsoft more. I really think we will see this fix itself by 12AM GMT today. LETS HOPE

or sony fixes it :p
 
Yeah the NXE thing did not happen to me, but when I first got my 360 in Christmas of 07, I felt like I wasted 500 bucks on the console and halo. Could not play live for two weeks.
 
damn calendar! couldnt play. and now im thinking why bother going to a midnight release for something you cant even play.

I was at level 57 before the internal clock thing happened. I guess I'll finish that out before moving onto BF:BC2...oh who am I kidding-I'm going to be playing BF:BC2 as soon as everything is fixed. But yeah, I'll play M.A.G. a few more times just to finish that out and when they come out with more maps/DLC.
 
So, I'm in veteran mode. Raven trainee here!

The APC's are way better. The firing rate on the gunner is impressive and it handles really well compared to SVER's APC.

I already knew about the weapons firing rate being better as well.

well, i'm maged out. i tried the shotgun. much better with the wider range, but still weak as hell. still often took 3-4 shots close range to get someone down and most of my kills were against people with low health and/or headshots. If i even ran up behind someone and let loose in to him, it always took at leasy 2 shots to kill (body shots) thats fucked up.

so back to my machine gun. though, like i said, doubt i'm going to play anymore
 
With each session MAG I'm loving this game more and more. Put the silencer on my AG assault rifle last night and I'm loving it. I don't even notice a lack of accuracy.

I'm on the same boat as you. As more skill points are earned and you start exploring the different skills trees the game keeps getting more and more interesting and dynamic (and frustating as well, since you have this many cool (gadgets/weapons/attachments) and so few loadouts to put them on
 
I don't really keep up with each factions advantages and disadvantages but wow were SVER's weapons better.

You need way more bullets to kill with the weapons on Raven. You also descend faster and have more control with your parachute. :applause:
 
Soodmeg, I bumped into you last time I played. You blew me up with an RPG while I was in an APC and I heard you talk about how many ribbons you got for that match at the end. lol
 
Having some horrible overall games with SVER (non CAG clan of course). IMO im doing well but the overall team is god awful lately. Very unorganized.

At what time do you play?

A worrying trend I've noticed is that the quality of players depend a lot of the time of day you're playing.

I.e. When I've played around 6-8 pm CST I get great squads with teamwork, communication and everyone knows what to do. When I play at 11 pm CST or later I seem to get paired up with not exactly great players (yesterday in my squad there were 4 snipers while attacking Raven SABO... All on the same spot!) or just quitters (in the same match, after 5 minutes the squad was only 5 guys including me (3 snipers)).

Yeah I get so mad at quitters. i noticed lately its been higher ranking people. So if we run a sabo for valor and are attacking either SVEr or Raven (neither are cakewalks unless you get a great start, or have a coordinated squad/crappy defending squad)

I see the higher ranked guys drop in the first few minutes, my guess is they feel they are not going to pull 600-1000 points they drop and dont waste their 10 minutes. Meanwhile the squad is left with people from rank 6-20's and we slowly fall apart.
 
Is their a way to switch the faction you are with and not lose all your stats? Might do that later on to see what the others are like. Also could I get an invite to the Valor clan on cag?

If you just want to test the other factions you might like to create a different PSN accounts and play with them. On your own account you can only do it once you reach level 60 and go 'veteran', but you'll lose all of your skills/experience points.

If no one beats me to it I'll send you an invitation to the Valor clan tonight

That was probably the game that I got 7 ribbons which is the most I have ever got in one game. My friend and I just talked about that.
 
So I branched out. I had been playing the crap out of sabotage... given I am with Valor its the map we have contrracts with.

Domination is flat out nuts. I am excited to really give that a try as I got in 2-3 games last night and dont really know the maps. Beyond playing it in the begining a few times I have not touched it.

Pretty sweet.

Yeah, it was pretty overwhelming the first time you play it, but I still like sabotage better.
 
When I ran with Valor sabo is the king for them. Accusation, fucking sucks for valor and Domination, it can be good and bad for Valor. As long as your defending, most of the time it's a win, but attacking is a little harder. They need to change the bunkers up for Valor and not be covered by trees and shit. Not really fair to see SVER and Raven have a wide open FOV.
 
What ever happend to the clan thread for this game? I tried the search on cag and couldn't find it and also tried google all I keep getting is just this thread. Were they merged into one?
 
Any CAGs in a SVER clan? I stopped playing this because I wasn't having fun playing with randoms. If I could get into a clan with some CAGs I'd be heading to the store to pick up a new mic.
 
I am also interested in finding some guys to play the game with. I used to be in a clan but I left since they were incredibly inactive, I used to be the only one playing half the time. At the moment I am in S.V.E.R. I'd love to find some people that can resist the blinking burnoff tower and help me take the dam bunkers....

I play Mag as well with the same name as on the forums here... Thing that piss's me off though is do i really have to block a person to mute them ? am i TOTALLY missing a option ?

Yet as far as i am concerned if your a stupid ass mother fucker who's going to leave open mic while fighting with your wife/dog/cat/mom/grandma/whore/ect or just coughing into the mic every 5 seconds because of your danm smoking problem... well probably needed to block you anyways :p

Heh, I purchased the SVER one for when I vetted over there, but it was only $2.50; But those poor souls that paid over 30 for the Valor or Raven armors... ouch!

On another topic the new patch seems to be causing me a lot of connection errors and twice it froze the PS3 when I got revived while arming a charge. Anyone else having the same problems?

also, playing during the morning sucks. Attacking on SABO 4 people of my squad were sniping, and not doing a good job out of it :(

I just like how MW2 players thinks its king and won't play any other games. Sucks for them, a lot of good shooters out.
