All you have to do is register a game (they don't ask for serial #'s, UPC's, or anything...I Picked Leisure Suit Larry), and enter our info, and you get the free magazine subscription!!

Cool stuff!

I LOVE this thread...thanks for all the posters out there!

Okay, the link above is a different subscription depending on system you use.
Here's the steps for the free magazine of your choice.

Choose a system and pick the newest game on the list.

You don't need proof of purchase when registering "your game", you will get a offer for a free subscription of the magazine they've designated to it, so far here's the ones I've found.

PS2- free OPM subscription
XBOX- free XBN subscription
PC- Free CGW subscription
GC- Free EGM subscription

I check all of the send me my free subscription boxes, but does it matter that i used the same email on all of the games... also, has anyone got any of these mag. via this deal... Thanks OP

about those free mags with the registering of games...i saw crash twinsanity or whatever in best buy today for ps2 and it had a "free 12 month sub. to egm with purchase, details inside" sticker on the cover...i wonder if that has anything to do with that site with the free mags....

yea, i'm guessing it does becuase that's like a bonus for registering, which really did alot for them, because they asked for all that info about the purchase of the game. /sarcastic
does anyone have cureently working offers for mags for video games like egm or gamepro?
Try ebay i got my Gamepro for like 6 a year and EMG for 7 a year

Did anyone else signup for the free Gamestar magazine a few months ago and get the september issue and then recently got the November issue for some reason?

Hey, my GamePro subscription somehow got extended to next year. I filled out the latest GameSpy offer about a month ago -- the one that says "sorry, this offer is over" after you submit your info -- I wonder if they honored it anyway, or if it just "automatically" renewed itself for another year. [My October ish had an Oct 04 date, the new one says Oct 05.]

Just an interesting observation.

Isn't Gamestar quarterly and not monthly? That might explain that.

Do these E-Bay deals really work?

They have EGM for as low as $3 (plus $4 shipping) for a year subscription, or you can get 3 years for around $12... They also have X-BOX Nation magazine and many others for DIRT cheap.

How can they do this when the official sites for these magazines are charging 10x that? ($20 per year or some are even $40 per year....)

[edit] Well, I've ordered two magazines from e-bay: PSM and EGM. PSM I paid $0.06 + $4 shipping (12 issues) and EGM I paid $6 + $5 shipping (24 issues).

$15 for BOTH magazines is an AWESOME deal (as long as I didn't just get ripped off). The only bummer is that it takes 8 - 12 weeks to receive the first issiue (3 months?! yikes.)

Anyways -- Is there any good way to get Nintendo Power magazine for cheap? I'm interested in the Official X-Box Magazine as well but it costs a bit more than the others ($9 + $5 shipping for only 12 issues).

Alright, punqsux was just complaining that this thread is too huge so he posted a free subscription in a seperate thread. Are you guys sure we shouldn't start a new thread? Some people certainly think so.

i dont see the need for an official thread since magazine deals are not very common. they get more attention with their own threads.

this thread hasnt been updated since freakin february, and do you know why it was updated in feb?! because i PMed cheapy telling him all the deals were dead.

Sometimes alot of free mags are found at around the same time by different people, and we really don't need that many threads just for free mags.

I mean, 70 pages in this thread really shouldn't be spread out into 100 different threads, right?

I've emailed/ PMed Cheapy a couple times to ask him if he would update the first post, but I guess he just doesn't feel like it. :?

Plenty of people visit this thread, so it's not like these offers need more attention.

I kind of like it all in one, I mean one stop shopping, I can click on this thread and read the last one or two pages to see what is new.
They're more common than you'd think. Sometimes alot of free mags are found at around the same time by different people, and we really don't need that many threads just for free mags.
and why not?
if people randomly found free video games or dvds would there be an "official" messy thread about them?
I mean, 70 pages in this thread really shouldn't be spread out into 100 different threads, right?
wrong. if there were 100 seperate posts it would be out with the old in with the new. the old deals would die off since they are no longer active and the new threads would appear on the front page so more cags can use them.
so this thread is dead then since its official and never updated?
Plenty of people visit this thread, so it's not like these offers need more attention.
yes they do, i regular this board as much as anybody and have not gotten a free magazine in at least 6 months. i never click this thread anymore because its just a huge mess

i see legit new free magazine subs a few times a week...its common enough to me....and as far as updating the OP made by cheapy on this thread goes....any mod can feel free to take care of that, but they don't seem to care enough, even though its a sticky made by cheapy....and i too stopped looking in this thread a few months ago, because it seemed that nothing new was coming up...but if you check every few days, you'll soon see just how much attention this thread actually gets....i personally vote for a "magazine deals thread", where you ONLY post links to magazine deals....and than another thread titled "magazines deals discussion"...where you can discuss the magazine deal that was posted in the magazine deals thread....that way, you don't have to search through the thousands of "do these really work", "did anyone get this", and "can you find me a cosmo sub" posts in order to find an actual magazine deal....sorry for the rambling...hopefully this is readable...

The problem with updating the main page is that these deals end so fast, by the time they're updated, they'll probably be dead anyway.

i just got an email from subscriptionsforless.com about a BOGO sale, of sorts:

true...which is why we should have one separate thread, strictly for posting the links to magazine deals...and another thread if needed...for discussing the deals.....the discussing the deals thread can have the links too, but the link only threads should have only the link and a description of the deal provided with the link....i think that would work, but I may be wrong...
The problem with updating the main page is that these deals end so fast, by the time they're updated, they'll probably be dead anyway.
Some last awhile, others don't. And i's not that hard to update the OP every few days to get rid of the old offers and post some new ones.

And to punqsux... I feel like I was just Sweeney'd. :(
