sweet just got my issue of FHM today. I have a question tho. If I signed up for the same mag from a different offer will it get tacked on to the current subscription? I think I signed up with the bundle of forbes, FHM, and Stuff. Also I got in on the FHM a while back.

hey, Moxio, the magazine that you call living fat in an earlier post is really living fit. I really got excited when I saw living fat, and then got sad when it said living fit.

Rofl, thanks for pointing that out.

dangit moxio.... got in trouble with wife again (of course I said "I got a FREE subscription to SHAPE for you) she didn't like the FOR YOU part.

Man, you gotta be careful with your words. That's like buying a treadmill and giving it to your wife as a Christmas gift. Except you aren't paying for it. So you're saving her money, in which case she should shower you with gifts... Ah, in a perfect world maybe...

:D A woman can believe she's fat and say she is if she wants to, but if a man even implies that she might be right (whether its by getting her a treadmill for Christmas or if it's getting her a subscription to a fitness magazine just 'cause its free), then it's seen as the man being an insensitive jerk. It's the same rule that makes any guy who acknowledges a woman's period a jerk. (We're talking in the 'Are you grumpy because it's time for your period?'-type way here.) Sometimes it's best just to give a woman a hug and tell her you'd never notice anything different because you're still so in love with her.

Now if only my husband did that...

Oh yeah, I like Game Informer too . . . you can get 12 issues for about $5 through www.magazinepricesearch.com

I cut it close, but my 1 year sub just started and my old 10 issue $10 one was ending . . . I NEVER used the 10% off at Gamestop anyway.

I like GI and especially compare and contrast it with EGM. Since I'm getting so many free . . . I don't mind paying for some.

I got my first issue of Stuff magazine. But I didnt just get ONE year, I got FOUR!

Hey, Im not complaining.

Me too, got it today and it expires in 2008.

If it wasnt for the random hotties, Stuff would probably be the lamest (is that a word???) mag ive ever read.

If I already have 4 years of Stuff and sign up with for another year, will it add to my subscription or will screw stuff up. Seriously, I already have enough to last through college, but I just wanna know...

It just seems some of these ebay are too good to be true

Year of mags for 2.99 i mean come on 2.99

they had nintendo for 8 bucks

they had i think gamepro or egm 4 years for 20 bucks i think these r too good to be true

i would buy them but i would hate to spend 50 bucks on 8 different mags to see 6 months from now that the person cancelled my sub and i got nothing

I've had good luck with ebay vendors and other online options for mags.

I got Game Informer (I've never seen it for free) for $6/year its $10 for 10 issues in store. It started right on time.

Bought 4 years of EGM (sub was running out and the freebies weren't around in Feb.) for $4 . . . now my sub with free ones runs into 2010

Gotten a few for my wife like Shape, Parents . . . stuff like that for about $4-5 for 3 years . . . I don't see how they can cancel the order later . . . but every mag I've ordered has come.

The deals are so good (must be freebies that people know how to pass on) that even if they got cancelled after 6 months you'd still get decent value. My wife order "Garden Design" for $5 for 4 years . . . that has been coming for 2 years now and it is over $20/year from the publisher.

We used to buy mags at the grocery store . . . look at the price of one mag! $4-10 for 3 years is a good gamble for most mags.

Check out the 'handling' costs on those Ebay auctions; I've seen some that have an awesome BIN price, but then add 4-10 bucks 'handling' in the shipping slot. It is still a lot better price than buying on the newsstand, but I avoid auctions with ridiculous s/h charges just on principle.
Just found one that offers 1 year of The Week plus a 'Free Bonus' of 1 year of another magazine for 7.99 incl s/h. that's pretty good.
But it boggles my mind how people can pay cover price for a magazine. If you buy two a year, in general, you'll do better off getting a subscription.

Generally if you sign up for a subscription, and you already have one, if you use the same name/address on both, they'll combine them. If they don't, you can call/write/logon, tell them you're getting dupes, and they'll combine them.

i asked on one time and they said if they buy 1000 subs at one time they get a great deal and can sell them that cheap.

another person said these companies just give them away free so it looks like more people are buying the book then they are so they can get more ad money

I bought a few off of ebay a year or so ago. Every mag came with the amount of years it said it would. My advice is just like if you buy anything else off of Ebay is Feedback is an Ebayers friend.
