There wasn't much interest on this forum last time I posted, probably because I didn't have a version available to download (unless it was requested). Now I have the game and manual ready to go.

Here is the information for it:
The game is a mix of Magic: the Gathering and Cartoon Orbit gToons, as well as a lot of its own stuff. There are currently 140 cards enabled for multiplayer, as well as several more available only in single-player story mode.

The game was done as a final class project, so it will be 100% free. The download link, for right now, is here (When you extract the program, make sure to point it towards its own folder):

I recommend covering the manual before you play. The manual is available here:

http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgnbx3w3_0c5cw9sfc

All art is public domain or has some form of available license. The credits for the art are available here:

If you have any questions, comments or problems, message me on AIM @ SpiderLocMTGO. I would like as much feedback as possible, so if you have any opinions whatsoever, feel free to message me.

Also:
The cards in the game were created using Magic Set Editor, available here:
http://magicseteditor.sourceforge.net/
The skin is the one here:
http://mtg.pifro.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=425

I will include some cards submitted to me using this template in line with the other cards in the game as long as the art used has a source that is either public domain or another free license (Creative Commons, GNU, etc., though non-derivative licenses can't be used).

I forgot to mention, the game won't work unless you get the .NET framework 3.5 from Microsoft's website. You'll already have it on Vista (I think) or if you have installed Visual Studio 2008, though.

Screenshots can be seen as they are added here:

Known Bugs:
- Clicking "Menu" in the Multiplayer Deck Loader opens the main menu, but doesn't close the multiplayer interface. Use the "Menu" button from the Multiplayer Deck Editor instead.
- Playing a multiplayer game makes a bugged game save with the same name used in that game. You should delete this save, but it shouldn't hurt anything. Using the same name in multiplayer each time is probably a good idea. However, if you choose the same name in multiplayer as your single-player name, it will overwrite the single-player game with a bugged game. CHOOSE A DIFFERENT NAME FOR MULTIPLAYER THAN YOUR SINGLE-PLAYER NAME.
- Multiplayer may not be friendly after the first game. After each match, each player should close out and re-open the game to make sure there aren't any errors until this is fixed.

Missing Features:
- Combat log to show what exactly is going on, who is doing what to whom, etc.
- Chat box for multiplayer games.
- "Prettier" booster pack opening screen (you'll see what I mean).

Future Plans (After Missing Features Are Added):
Expansion Pack 1
- Probably to be based on Titan Quest due to the more open community compared to most others.
- New cards, including a new Titan Quest-themed booster pack set for single-player cards and new cards available to build multiplayer decks.
- New series of opponents to choose from for single-player following through the story of Titan Quest
- New classes and subclasses based on those in Titan Quest (and possibly the Masteries mod)

Other Stuff
- In-game meeting place to find and meet up for multiplayer matches.
- More cards following current Magi themes, including a Magi Booster Pack 2 for single-player and new cards for multiplayer.
- Adjust the scoring system somewhat so that cards that currently don't work in multiplayer will be includes (maybe)(Low Priority)

I downloaded it last night and couldn't get it to work. I'll have to make a screenshot. It lets me name my character and start a game but then there is an error message when the playfield comes up.

I'm on Vista Ultimate 64bit. I tired running it in Administrator mode and in XP pack 2 mode, no change. I guess I could get .NET framework but I thought I already had it.

Yes it is working with .NET 3.5 installed.

Hmm the mechanic is OK. I'm not used to playing so many cards at once and then having them all interact at the same time, so that's unique. It would be nice if during the resolution it showed you every card action and how it contributes to the outcome. I suppose if you really understand the game then you can figure it out yourself, but it would help people to learn.

Even without that I assume this gets you an "A" in your class, good job!

Yes, that is definitely one of the problems. I'm putting together a list of things that are going to be in the "final" (lol) version of the game (basically, bug fixes and features that should be in there to begin with). Check the OP soon (within a couple hours) for updates, FAQs, and other information regarding the game. Any updates will be compatible with any saves made now, so there shouldn't be any problems.
