MagnaCarta 2 Official thread...

Just started this over the weekend. I haven't put a whole lot of time into it yet, but I'm enjoying it so far. I got up to the part where I opened the Wailing Gate. It has been sitting in my backlog for a while now. I'm glad to finally play it.

I've been looking at this game and it seems interesting but having read mixed reviews, I'm not sure about whether or not this is my kind of game. I've heard that it's similar to Infinite Undiscovery. Is this true? I honestly hated that game and am into RPGs, which sucks. I have quite a big backlog but don't know if it's worth buying now in the off-chance that it becomes rare, or just wait till later on.

I've been disappointed with most Current Gen RPGs and have quit most of them, but have been very happy with all the RPGs on portables.

It still seems to be out there to be found so get it whenever. It was a decent game, I'd give it a 3 or 3.5 out of 5. I will say playing it after Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey was a mistake as it doesn't hold up to either of those.

I haven't played Infinite Undiscovery yet, so I can't compare it to that. However, I'm really enjoying it so far. It has little solo MMORPG to it, since you pick up optional side quests that you can do to earn extra exp and money. They are the typical Kill x number of y, or collect x number of plant B, etc. They are fairly easy to complete and you can typically complete them without going out of your way of the main story line.

I had wanted to play it for a while and recently picked it up at Gamestop. It was complete and almost mint. I don't think the original owner touched it much at all. Considering how cheap it is at GS if you can find it there, it is worth it for the amount of hours you can sink into it.

I thought Infinite Undiscovery was pretty bad. I don't know that I have the desire to play it again, even though I'm sitting on 1 achievement obtained from it, blech.

Magna Carta 2 looks interesting and I've just been waiting for my Gamefly queue to clear up for it.
Simple answer: Just buy the Bonus DLC and be overpowered the entire game
Is this really the case? I'm not struggling at all with the game so far. Most of my characters are lvl 27 atm and I'm in the Dunnon Hill area. I beat the
Snake-like boss with the poison
with very little trouble. I want the DLC for the achievements and such, but I don't want to make the game easy-mode either. Of course I don't have to use the weapons, but the temptation will be there.

not crazy far into this, about 6 or 7 hours but its plenty of fun and definitely a top 5 next gen rpg, much better than infinite undiscovery or last remnant

I enjoyed early Magna Carta 2 more, but late Infinite Undiscovery more, may have just been in MC2 I was hoarding my skill points so I could get the achievement for maxing out both paths, so little frustrating late game.
