Magnavox NB500MGX Blu-Ray Player - $98 at Wal-Mart YMMV?

I went to Wal-mart yesterday in Higland Village, TX and saw the Magnavox Blu-Ray player for $98. It had a sign that said from $128 - Now $98. Great deal in my opinion, even cheaper than a black friday deal!

I have a feeling this is YMMV because I saw the same blu-ray player at another wal-mart for $128 and another had it for $168.

The one in Highland Village has like 6 or 7 left as of tonight...

i can confirm this, saw it for $98 at the Walmart in Sugarland/Missouri City, TX off of Highway 6, its the same player that was advertised for $128 during Father's Day last month, there is a newer model out now, forgot the model number, thats $168 now

usually all walmart sales are nation wide unless it is a price match

be aware as there is no ethernet port on the player, so updating the software is a hassle using an SD card

Good so far, I tried Incubus Live at Red Rocks (Blu-Ray) and it looked the same as on my PS3. Now, I did play Oasis - Lord Dont Slow me Down DVD and the quality is better on my PS3, but still decent nonetheless.

Can't go wrong for $98.

Its funny that Wal-mart carries a Sony DVD player for $98...
