Major League Baseball 2K8 - Gen. Discussion & Info - Demo Out Now

Wow, had a crazy game I played last night.

I'm KC at Texas (franchise) and I'm down 5-2 in the top of the ninth. Leadoff batter grounds out. Second batter gets a singles, the boom 2 run homerun to make it 5-4 Texas. Then Rollins comes up to bat and SMACK! Another HR to make it 5-5.

Into the tenth and AGAIN I get a solo HR to make it 6-5 KC. I hold the CPU in the bottom of teh inning and win the game. Incredible considering I've only hit like 3 HR in all my previous games. Even got a platinum card for it.

Didn't fix the card problem when you sign into live and it says "your deck is out of date" and then deletes half your cards. that's teh deal breaker there, I am NOT buying this game. The cards are hard enough to come by without this kind of crap happening.
 
Speaking of which, anyone got a Brad Lidge card they'd be willing to trade? Any type is fine, Pulojs is just a bitch to strike out, even after dropping all his stats to 0... he swings at every pitch lol.

I've been looking for a cheaper price on this game lately. I was disappointed to see that all major retail stores were still selling it for $59.99. However, Amazon.com has got it for $39.99! I figrued I'd make a post in case anyone else was on the fence pending a price drop like I was.
 
Does anyone else have a problem with the score ticker staying on the bottom of the screen, even when under presentation the ticker is turned off?
 
I just played a Triple AAA 21 inning game and finally won 4-2...it took me over and hour to play. I just had to post, even if nobody reads this.

So, I picked this up for $40 used from GS. Even though it's $40 new at Newegg, I figured if I didn't like it, I could bring it back to GS. I only played a game or two, but I really don't see where all the hate is from. I'd say this is a solid 7. I know the patches supposedly fixed a bunch of stuff, so I understand the poor reviews around release, but even now, I still see people bashing this like it's the worst baseball game ever. I'm sure The Show is better, but I just prefer games on the 360, so I decided to go with this one.
