Major PS2 Holiday Demo Disc Problem - READ! will destroy all memory card data!!
Funny you mention that. I think this thread has the most by me that didn't show my asshole side.

What gives?
he made a repost, and everyone jumped on his ass.

I wish people would just PM a mod, and ask them to lock it.

Who said I was talking about you?
Well, given that I happened to make several posts in this thread, I thought I'd point out that I'm actually behaving myself here. I rarely do, and I thought that rather ironic.

Ain't you just a snarky lil' thing? I did not see your repost, shecky, so I did not participate in flaming you. As a matter of fact, the mere fact that I did not see your repost was why I asked the question I did; because for three pages of posts here, the only flaming was indirectly aimed at RPG nerds who save their beaten game save (I'm one).

Additionally, you didn't contribute to this post until calling everyone an asshole, so I was curious why you would say such a thing.

It's amazing, what a little context will do to make sense out of something.

Lastly, your retort did not answer my question; if you want to start a flame war, perhaps focusing on those who flame you would be in your best interests. In the meantime, I'm just a person who wants to know what in the hell you were posting about, since you provided no pretext.

twit. your screen name is, evidently, rather ironically chosen.

EDIT: Casey, thanks for answering the question that the man o' peace could not. Agreed on the PM thang.
myke.

Ooops sorry guys i should have warned you but forgot. If you subscribed to capcom you would know as they sent out e-mails a few weeks back telling you not to play VJ2 demo with memory card in. Good thing i have a harddrive and back up all my saves..thanks again ffxi

Wow. I said I didn't say anything to you and you start name calling. Who is the twit now? As for my name, it is chosen well. Since you are on the PS2 boards, you should have a clue my name came from GTA Vice City. Apparently, my repost was needed as someone still lost their memory cards. What the hell is up with this week anyway? You can try to start a petty flame war with me, even though I told you nothing was directed at you.

I shall point this out:
Some of you people are real assholes.
Now, if I were to approach a group of people and call them all "fuckwads," or something similar, and fail to explain to them why they are fuckwads, I would not be surprised if one of them were to ask me something to the effect of "why are we fuckwads?"

The post I made following yours was this:
What gives?
In other words, I was asking you why some of us were assholes. As I mentioned earlier, you failed to provide the context that you were flamed for repeating this post elsewhere. Yes, you were trying to be kind initially, and I agree that flaming someone for helping is certainly silly and petty. However, you brought your flames onto this post without explaining (to those who did not see your other thread) why you began lashing out.

You are upset b/c you called people assholes, and made even more upset when someone wanted to know why we were assholes (rather than taking the effort to provide a background, or even a link to the locked thread)? That's simply absurd.
As for my name, it is chosen well. Since you are on the PS2 boards, you should have a clue my name came from GTA Vice City.
Allow me to point out that I don't know everything about every game; I would be bothered to meet that person. A name like "Tommy Vercetti" I could pick up; "man of peace" no. It's too vague. But I digress.
Apparently, my repost was needed as someone still lost their memory cards. What the hell is up with this week anyway? You can try to start a petty flame war with me, even though I told you nothing was directed at you.
You said no such thing. You said
Who said I was talking to you?
Look homeslice; I just wanted to know why people were assholes. I've said that I did not read your repost; even further, flaming someone for reposting is petty; CaseyRyback had an excellent point. I simply was looking for an explanation, and instead got an attitude. Thanks.

myke.

on a side note, i got a card in the mail today warning me of this.

i just hope my demo that i got last week has VJ2 on so I can reformat my corrupted card that has my nearly completely Kingdom Hearts on it. I almost lost it when i found out that that particular card was messed up.

How many different Holiday Demo 2004 discs were sent out? Because the one I got in the mail doesnt have the VJ2 demo on it. Is this because $ony caught wind of whats going on and they sent me a different disc?
i got it, unfortuanlty i was late on reading this. I did get a postcard a few days later about this.....those BASTARDS!
...so the worst came to pass? Did you lose everything?

myke.

have you heard that Sony is giving free games to the people who were affected by the glitch??

"Wounded consumers should contact Sony Computer Entertainment America support at 1-800-345-7669, with their PS2 serial numbers handy. Sony will then supply an address at which to exchange the defective demo disc. "

Edit: Already posted.

I think that they are giving new discs not free games

Oh no, they are infact giving out free games as a way to make amends.

Personally I got an email & a post card thingy, but I eneded up with the non-VJ2 demo disc, wierd.
