Anyone else find it funny that a guy who calls himself "god" needs help fixing his car seat?
Dont you understand? its a paradox. Ask yourself this:

Can God create a car seat that even he cannot fix?

If he can, he's not all powerful and if he can't he's not all powerful.

Therefore, there is no god.

im sorry for ruining everyone's religion.

I think I just found God's God.

Keep anyone and everything off the seat, btw. Any excessive weight and movement will likely tear it even further. Those seat covers are stretched quite tightly as it is. Now it's been compromised by a hole.
Are the covers the same? For some reason I doubt it.. mine is an 04 WRX. :(

Oh also, maybe your seats are even nicer? Are they bucket? If I could completely replace mine with yours, that would be a nice alternative. The question is, would they fit? I'm also definitely not in the area... That's a big problem.
Standard seats, gray with black accent... I don't believe the RS comes with bucket seats standard. But the '02 and '04 have fairly similar interiors, so I imagine my old seats could be retrofitted to your car.

But it's really a moot point if you can't get out to MA. My insurance company has posession of the car at the moment and I don't think they've wrecked it yet. I'd certainly give them a phone call on your behalf, but getting here from wherever you live and installing the seats would be up to you.

Well, regardless, I appreciate the gesture. If I had the potential to make it work out, I'd be forever grateful.

That's a good point, thanks.

NP, man. Best of luck to you.
Honesty is clearly not of any concern with the replies I've seen. All I've seen is self-serving ego protective character attacks. Most of the people aren't here to have a debate about what's right, or to even say that they would do the opposite of what I did..

Because that's not even the case, most of these people would do the same exact thing. Yet, they don't need to hear all the details since they've already made up their minds. This person is a thief, a drug addict, etc. Labels are good enough for them. This happens all the time on forums, like this one, and others as well. Anonymity provides a veil that they can hide behind, and launch attacks with no fear of real reprecautions. You really can't expect much from a crowd like this.

So here's my view on things:

Was keeping the ipod wrong? Well, yes very much so.

I find it funny how many people are ready to tar and feather this guy for doing what oh so many other people would have done, including many people here on this forum.

You find an ipod pick it up, all day long you have good luck!

..or not so much in this guys case.

Ok, so the real issue at hand is this guy is asking for help on fixing his car seat that he did by carelessly smoking in his car.

My advice is to stop whining and get a car seat or pay to get it fixed, you did it yourself so you must pay the consequences.

I wonder though, if this guy came in here and told everyone that he had burnt his seat in another way and had not even mentioned the ipod, would things be different in here or would everyone still be on their high horse looking down?

I would've kept the iPod, too. Don't sweat these fools.

But yeah, please don't get seat covers. :puke: I think a crappy patch job would be enough. As long as there's no burn hole showing, I wouldn't mind it.. Just slap some similar cloth on it.
Don't generalize everyone just because you shitheads like to take stuff that doesn't belong to you. The right thing to do would've been to inform the professor about it and if nobody claims it then keep it. Wait until you lose something valueable then you'll see what it feels like.

This is done. Sorry OP. I should have put a stop to the haterade much sooner but I wasn't here. Still, that doesn't mean people won't get warnings.
