Man loses $2600 trying to win an Xbox Kinect at local NH Carnival

Even disregarding the money, the fact that he wanted a Kinect - in mid-2013 - is all the evidence I need that the guy is not just a sucker, but a frequent one.

Based on his behavior with the carnival game and the fact that that amount was his "life savings" I'd guess he's got some kind of issues with gambling. Well, either that or his IQ half that of the carny's.

A couple weeks ago I was playing roulette ($5 minimum) in an "Indian" casino up in Black Hawk for a couple of hours. As one might expect I "lost" the $100 I took with me for playing table games, which are always a losing proposition, but since a bunch of completely unrelated Asian dudes lost about $50,000 while I was at the table I prefer to think of it as the cost for witnessing that particular spectacle. For whatever it's worth one guy in particular not only kept running through all his cash and then coming back, he actually started playing another, higher minimum, table because ours got so full he just couldn't gamble his money away fast enough anymore.

The only sad part was that even after witnessing all that I couldn't bring myself to cash out when I got up to $300 only to lose it all the one time nobody played 0...

Evolution doesn't "cease" and there's not really such thing as "devolution". I hope Mike Judge's next film is about smug people misunderstanding science and using to trendy pop-culture cynicism to back up their arrogance.
