Man SONY cant catch a break

Daddy

CAGiversary!
Ok so I bash on SONY alot lately but its all negitive, I hate to do it but SONY is involved in the 2 biggest electronics/pc recalls IN HISTORY in the U.S. both within a week of each other....anyone else really really concerned about this with the launch of PS3? This is a SONY subsidiary but you get the point
but the ps3 isnt powered by a lithium-ion battery. is it?
LOl no its not, point is recalls....or you could turn this to another loss for SONY...which i pose the question can they afford for the PS3 to do bad or blu-ray not to win the format war?

Sony will be fine even if Blu-Ray doesn't work out. They make a lot of other products as well. While they're pushing it hard, they don't have ALL their eggs in one basket...

Unless I have a case of the fridays the gaming division is the only one turning a profit around SONY

They definitely cant afford for the ps3 to do bad. Well im sure they wont go out of business because of it, but maybe they will be the next Sega and stop making consoles? But I dont see Sony going anywhere as far as gaming. Maybe worst case scenario is they just drop the ps3 and continue focus on ps2. but thats a long shot, that im sure wont happen.
Shit I want one, even with all the bad press. Just cause its the new Playstation, that name has alot of power.

You are right. Which is why if Blu-Ray fails they are in deep shit.
um, didn't apple and dell just do the same battery recall?
Yup click the link the recall was b/c SONY responsible in BOTH cases

"Both recalls involve lithium-ion batteries made by a Sony Corp. subsidiary in Japan, where the manufacturing process introduced metal particles into battery cells. Makers of battery cells strive to minimize or eliminate the presence of such particles, which can cause computers to short circuit, or, in extreme situations, catch fire."

6 million batteries Sony has fucked up. The tech is more than a decade old and they still can't get it right. Why should we trust the new tech of the PS3?

That's what I heard.

I doubt the PS3 bombing is going to completly kill Sony off, but it will force them to downside, if (when) PS3 fails.
