I still haven’t decided if I want this. Mario Kart 64 is one of my all time favorite games. The Gamecube version I barely played. Plus, it comes out like 2 days before GTA4. Which I’ll be playing non-stop for a month.

this is my EXACT thought. I plan on getting it though just because it's an awesome social game.

I dont remember 2 person karts in the n64 version. That game was the best so far.

Nah, there weren't. I found Double Dash to be the superior iteration. Kart racing is pretty much the same thing, DD added to it in a more unique way. Not enough games allow same screen (non-split) co-op play.

It's going to be hard to loose the co-op version. For 16 player LAN games, that was an awesome feature to get everybody's non-gaming wives playing. (BTW, I'm missing the LAN setup on this Wii version, too!) We can do ad-hoc multiplayer on DS; let us have it on the Wii!
