I finished 3 WUs taking 3 days. :(


The thing had to shut down cuz of an error. :(

I got the first was 1500/1500 then 30/30 then 20/20.

Do I show up in the group. 55655? or some number like that.

Kind of weird.

I'm not marten but you are on the stats page (you're CAG-muzras right) but with only 2 WU, though it may not have updated the 3rd yet.

What is most amazing is that there are 2 PS3's in that mix. Your one extra PS3 equals about 8 computers. These are not very low end machines either! For example: in that 11 machine mix I have a dual core xeon 3.66 ghz going (and yes both cores are being used) but it does not seem to matter against one ps3! Amazing eh?

Yeah but, come on. How many people have 11 computers? I'm not saying I don't have a chance, because there's always a chance, but i'm less likely to win against somebody with a PS3.
 
I was just running this without any user settings. I'm now set up on the team withmy proper name. How long does it usually take between updates to the team page?

Yep, you are closing fast and will be passing me soon. Looks like you have a couple of SMP clients running? I should be able to turn over about 4 more 2653's on my PCs before the deadline tomorrow.
 
I actually dont know what exactly we're running. I've got a guy inside the CS dept at UT pulling strings. He's only got like a dozen machines running, I believe. He actually had 100 machines up at a point, but they kept giving him like 4 million frame projects that he wouldnt be able to finish until next week, so he shut those down. I wouldve had like 90% of the points instead of >5% if we woulda gotten that down :D
 
Cool. I got nine WUs (3339 pts) done in about four days. I should be able to get two more by the deadline. Yeehaw.

Contest change....it now ends tomorrow at 7pm PST.

Reasoning: The extremeoverclocking site updates every 3 hours based on central time. I figure I can give you all one more update if I push back the contest an hour.

So.....the 9pm CDT update on the site listed in the 1st post will be the point I shut the contest down. No entries after that.

I have a lot of work ahead of me tomorrow chopping up paper. ;) The drawing should be Friday night, barring any unforseen circumstances.

How many trees will you be killing while helping to find the cure for cancer at the same time? :lol:
 
As long as you have to do some crunching anyway, could you make a note of some random figures, like how many total entries there were and maybe a top 10? producing list.

This contest has me all excited. I started folding again because i got a PS3 recently, but man, this sure has been a lot of fun! All for a good cause too!

That's one way to do it..lol, my computers are all in my house. It looks like it's going to be close, I just pulled back ahead of you but it may be short lived as I think all of my big WU's have come in. I may have one or two more smaller ones that will still finish before the deadline. My goal was 20,000pts and it looks like I'm going to be close. I would have had more but it took me until mondy to get my clients changed over to this team so I effectively lost a couple of days of work.
 
My name seems to not be on the team statistics is there a reason why? I've been running it for over 12 hours now and have about 100 frames completed.

You have to complete a full work unit before you show up on the team page.... Theres 5,000 frames in a work unit I think?
 
huh. Barring some sort of miracle, I guess the last couple of ones I thought were going to get done arent.
