I bit on a pre-order, I'll see what happens on if I keep it or not. Nice deal for what it comes with, only $5 over games regular cost.

Pre-ordered this back in November when it was in my goldbox for like a $3.20 discount. The extra $4.80 is gonna be sweeeeeet.
...man I'm cheap.

Jumped on this this afternoon, after I got back from GS where they told me they're no longer taking preorders for the CE. Glad they weren't now, saved me $12 after tax. :D

Thanks for the info. In case this price drop doesn't stick I talked to amazon chat rep. I used one of those 10 dollar promos from last year on this and supposedly it expired new years eve so I didn't wanna chance it. Good looks OP

Almost worth it to see if they will lower the price on the 1/2 off one I ordered. It's another ~2.50 off if they actually did it but I'm not sure if I want to be that much of a jerk.

Based on how much Capcom has overprinted Special Editions lately, anyone else have the feeling this one is going to be $30 in a couple months?

Part of me wants to say yes, but at the same time, some CE's do actually tend to end up being fairly rare or valued. (Especially since this has DLC included, i doubt it'll end up being as devalued as others)

The DLC is going to be available 4 weeks after the game launches according to the description(if I'm reading it right).

I don't doubt that it will be cheaper later, but the only reason I'm getting the special edition is because of the extras. The DLC characters alone make it a no-brainer.

Part of me doesn't want to support Capcom's decision to have DLC available on day one, but I've waited over ten years for this game. I'm still sour on lots of the decisions that Capcom made in developing this game, but I'm sure it'll still be fun, and I don't want to miss out on the fun of fighting online with hundreds of people on release day.

I was pretty sure the DLC couldnt be redeemed until 4 weeks after release date. Unless there was some recent announcement that changed that
Besides the stickers from Gamestop are there any other pre-order deals floating around minus that t-shirt thing
Aside from various pricing or bonus stuff (Like future discounts and etc), nope. Unless something pops up between now and release

I think that meant that they'll be exclusive to this edition for the first four weeks and then they'll be available for purchase.

This whole time I thought they were available day one for people who got the special edition, and everyone else had to wait four weeks.

Either way, announcing that there's going to be DLC months before the release of the actual game is just hard to swallow.

Nope, it'd be a pretty dick move to let people have a month advantage with characters. (Especially in a fighting game this insanely popular). Though i wouldnt be surprised if the code could be redeemed a few days earlier or something.

And pretty much every game gets DLC @_@. I guess im glad to know about it before-hand (Incase i intend to pass, or just wait for a DLC bundle), but i gotta admit it still getting a bit annoying.

Most games these days have DLC and its great that publishers announce it before game is released. Many people get rid of a game as soon as they beat it and letting them know there will be more content further down the line gives them incentive to hold onto it. Id be more upset if I got rid of a game and then they said they were coming out with DLC for it

Lol, this has happened to me before. Once i literally traded in a game, and a day later DLC was announced. Needless to say i was pissed

I just checked my pre-order for this that I placed a little while back and it's still the higher price.

When does the adjustment take place? Do I need to contact Amazon?

The adjustment takes place when it ships and they charge you, but if you used credit to pay for it they will refund you the difference when it ships. Or at least this has been my experience with it.

That still doesn't answer the question...I just got off the phone with a rep of amazon and stated that the price never went down.:bomb:

Since they don't charge you till it ships, I would say do what I did. Cancel then reorder it.

That is bogus. Photo of the so called offer or it never happened.

There have been instances when Amazon hasn't auto-adjusted to a lower price before. If that's the case, you might be able to e-mail Customer Service and have them adjust it, but it's a major YMMV without a screencap. That said, if there's someone who got in on this when it was active who'd be willing to take a screencap of their order and the final price, you'd be a friend to the CAG community for sure. :p

I don't have a pic, but it sure happened for me ;)

Amazon was kind enough to adjust my price, so with Goldbox discount I'm at $63 with release date delivery. Only a few bucks less than Capcom, but I know I won't wear the shirt and I'm guaranteed to have it on day 1.
Amazon, you are great sometimes.

I pre-ordered this game using gift certificates and promo credit.

My grand total now is -$5.20.

How long does it usually take to get the refund/credit back.
