The mouth breathers see 400 Bioware points or whatever the hell they are and likely don't think about the actual monetary value. Works the same with MS points.

MS points can be spent elsewhere though. WTF am I going to do with Bioware points? Hold onto them until ME3 DLC comes along?

MS points go on sale too.
