McRibs travel the country I believe from one area to the next instead of just being around for a month nation wide then gone. Thus why some poor poor souls quit their jobs and travel around following the McRib. What OP is saying is that they will be available everywhere for the first time in over two decades.

meh. i found a place that sells the exact same patty type with sauce and you buy them in bulk......yeah i pretty much killed any love i had for the mcrib that month and i still had a ton of the left.

oh yea, that whole simpsons episode about a ribwich was kinda true. there are people out there who drive 10 hours just to get their hands on one.

i heard conflicting stories on why mcd's won't have it permanently. obviously they want to tease people instead of making them sick of it. but there was a report that mcd's would drive pork prices up if they had them all the time. there was a time when mcd's wanted to add onion nuggets to their menu but the national onion output wasn't enough to supply mcdonalds.

They always remind me of this Simpsons episode:

They're ok, I might have to hit McD's up later next month for one.
I never had one but I'm kind of afraid to try it. Maybe I'll give it a go if I'm feeling like I want a clogged artery one day.
quit being a pussy. this is america

I was wondering if it was McRib season again. How many years has that "Farewell tour" thing been going now?

There goes my attempt to stay away from McDonald's.

Last time I had one was awhile back. I bit into it and stopped thinking "What the fuck is this?" its was all soft and didnt taste very good.

It always cracks me up when people claim their sickness was due to fast food. It's nearly impossible for McDonald's to undercook food with their clamshell system, and their food doesn't sit around long enough to spoil. Ever. The place is a madhouse.

You're far more likely to get undercooked/dirty/spoiled food from a chique boutique restaurant... heck, go watch Kitchen Nightmares - that's a day in the life of many restauranteurs.

i know right. i think people just like being pussies in general.

Or you're just a heart attack waiting to happen. Don't get me wrong. The McRib is the shit but I'm not shoving pork waste in my mouth just because it has pickles, onions, and a shitty (wasn't it so much better in our memories?) barbecue sauce on it.

I'll have mine without pickles or onions, add extra sauce. And I'll eat one every time I have a spare $6. I hope they do the add another one for $1. Because I will. Time to round up the gang for McRibs.

I remembered that back in the 90's and it being bigger then what they brought back a few years ago. Yea the new mcrib taste like crap and overpriced too.
I've never had a McRib before, they any good?
They suck. I never understood how someone could eat that.
This doesn't look too appetizing.

I entered this thread, and I was laughing at the general snobbiness of some people on here, acting like they are too good to eat at micdonalds, and then you posted this. Dis-fucking-gusting.

I'm going to have to make a 180 here. You all should not be eating this. Then again, the only thing I ever ate at mcdonalds is the fish o filet.

Thanks to all of you for the Simpson images, all i can ever think of when the McRib is discussed is the Ribwich. That said, I will probably skip, the thing scared the hell out of me.

For some reason I want a McDLT again. They can't replicate the Styrofoam container with cardboard? Was the crunchy sound a crucial part of the experience? I was like 10 when they discontinued it.

I don't think I've eaten one since the late 80s. Remember it being disgusting even then. For some reason I still associate it with a weird peanut butter aftertaste.
I want to try it with their spicy chipotle BBQ sauce.
That actually sounds pretty awesome.

The only thing I hate about the sandwich was the pickles.

They always bring these back at least once or twice a year, in L.A areas.

Ive never had a Mc Donalds ribwhich in my life.

Only the ones back in high school and the AM/PM ones, which aren't bad.

I loved the McRib as a kid, but it's a bit overpriced for a nostalgia kick. Grab one of the cheaps from AM/PM or even microwave one of those cheap salisbury steak TV dinners; it's roughly the same texture and taste sans bread but really who's eating this for the bread?

The containers that house the cooked McRib patties until they are served are also extremely annoying to wash every night since the patties sit in barbecue sauce (under heat) for hours.

And yes, McRibs are super tasty.

You could cut a hamburger patty in half and take gross close-up pictures too if you wanted. Why not show pics of what something looks like after it's been chewed, too? Seems pointless to me. Now, complaining about nutritional value, calories, or fat would actually be logical.

And you are saying that a big mac or mc double looks more palpable? Oh how jaded you are...

but the picture looks purdy :p

I'm not saying that at all, honestly I'm not a big fan of Fast food at all, other than Wendy's.

Never had the mcrib but I am going to try it ASAP. That foodfacts link almost got to me but since the simpsons did it, I am obligated to eat one.

You could cut the fishofilet in half, and it actualyl looks like fish, not squiggly bundles of raw protein/fat. Just saying.

i didn't know fish comes in squares.

do they also mince, bread, and deep fry themselves?

i mean honestly, you should be more concerned about the consistent and uniform look food has. food doesn't come in squares triangles or circles and has a consistent color.

and if you think the final product is gross, think of the process in which food is made. think of the living condition animals live and how they are killed. the sewer sludge farmers use to fertilize and irrigate their crops.

even water. hey, it was someones piss at one point or another.
