Mega Man Anniversary collection 19.97 kbtoys.com

"If you've seen a lower advertised price from another local store with the same item in stock, we want to know about it. Bring it to our attention, and we'll gladly beat their price by 10% of the difference."

So I would say: Maybe. Most places have a "local" KBToys (or, to use the $20 Super Smash Bros. example, Sears).

Just about every retail site under the sun won't match an Internet price, and usually that even applies to that store's online presence for the B&M store.

If you can get it to work, good job. Otherwise, don't hold your breath.

It was $10 for PS2 and $15 for GC during the gamefly deal. I've also seen it used for $20 so this deal really isn't that great, especially when you throw in the shipping costs.
Is Mega Man 8 on it?
Yes, but the old ones, especially 1-4, are so incredible that every time you try to play MM8, you will feel an uncontrollable urge to play them instead.
I'll wait until it's nationwide. GC is the version that I have, but I wish that it played like the PS2 verison...button-wise.
Agreed. The PS2 version is superior IMO because of the large, comfy D-pad and the shooting button on the left, as it should be. I played both and found the PS2 one much easier to control (I often accidentally shot instead of jumping on the GC controller). The PS2 does have that screen edge issue, but it isn't even noticeable unless you're looking for it.

GC also has superior extras (Some interviews instead of an episode of the Mega Man TV show.)

It's not THAT hard to adjust to the MM controls, but I wish Capcom had made them customizable at least.

The GCN copy I got from GameFLY last week was in mint condition. Looks like it was never played at all. $14 shipped w/ original manual.

The interviews were crap G4tv interviews...nothing exceptional.

I have to disagree with your view on the extras, since the PS2 version has a MAJOR plus over the GC version IMO: The option to play with remixed music in a lot of the stages in MM1-6. This is why this remains the only next-gen multiplatform game in my collection where I actually prefer the PS2 version.

FWIW, the controls map out really well on the *GC* version if you happen to own Pelican's arcade stick. You get shot and jump right next to each other (in that order), with rapid-fire right above shot. (Still does not excuse the lack of a remapping feature, nor the missing music from the GC version, nor the butchered ending in MM7, nor a million other little things that should have been fixed before it ever shipped)
