Just to let everyone know, the buy 1 game, get another game for 50% off is going until Monday (labor day) night. And then they are having that same sale on that Saturday (9/11) again. Maybe they are trying to clear out some room for the upcoming holiday games? Because this is the 5th day they have had that sale in less than two weeks!

I'm glad to hear that because I checked Meijer on Friday, and didn't exactly see what I wanted. Although I saw Hot Shots Golf Fore there, I was wanting a game like Street Fighter Anniversary Collection or Viewtiful Joe (PS2).

Good thing there is at least 5 of these near me, otherwise i don't think i would have a reason to live.

now if they only had a Fry's in Fort Wayne Indiana as well. Then I dont think there would be a major store in the usa that this town would be lacking. At least as far as store that runs good deals.
Not that anyone seems to notice, but this has been posted before, more than once if I'm not mistaken.
There was a post that said in the topic, "friday only sale at meijer" or something to that extent. However, this deal is being offered a week afterwards on a Saturday. I did not want to add to the other topic because it said "friday only" and no one would have seen the additional sale on Saturday.

I checked the Meijer on Illinois Rd. yesterday and they did not have that sale. I won't be home on the sale of 9/11, if it happens, but I'll send a family member out to get what I want.

Yeah, I agree with floormat that it would be nice to have a Fry's.

Hmmm, if they have it on 9/11, that may be good...I know they had it this past weekend, but I passed because of nothing I wanted.

cool thanks for the heads up OP , I missed the original sales b/c strangely enough I was in Ft. Wayne for a wedding and did not know there was one there.

I saw the flyer tucked away behind the lawaway counter today. It is a "Super Saturday" sale flyer and has the games on the upper right hand side of the front page. Maybe I will try to sneak one out and scan it for you all.

Thanks for the heads up on the ads.....tempting me to buy burnout 3.....maybe get 2 for 1 to sell to make some money back.

The AD says Sept 5th & 6th though.....nothing about the 11th

mann there is a lot of fort waynians on here. i think i have seen at least 8. Anybody intrested in meeting up for a game / guide trade off ¿? probably several lurkers as well.

oh and err for an on topic post ummm a meijers in the same area as the new menards where south town used to be would make this sale even better. umm yeah thats on topic...... sorta...

Just to reiterate.....I have not seen any confirmation of this happening on Sept.11th

(The ad on the website was last weekend)

Meijer.

I only go to the Meijer on Illinois Rd. since that's the area I live in. I sometimes go to the one on Lima Rd., but I usually can't find anything and I've seen higher prices at that Meijer compared to mine, no joke. The Meijer on Maysville is a distance from me, although I use to live on that side of town years ago.

I'm just going to send someone out in my family to get the games I want at Meijer since I'm not coming home this weekend, since I'm at Purdue.

Well, I kind of knew there were a lot of people from Fort Wayne here. When I went to Circuit City just after they opened, I saw a ton of people that got the list of this site, so I kind of knew there would be a lot here from Fort Wayne, that's why I'm glad to post here. :)

If it helps, the ad in Wednesday's Detroit News had the sale listed for Saturday, IIRC. I don't have a scan of the ad, though, and it's not handy at the moment. I'm about 85% sure that that's what it said, but I could be wrong...

the Meijer the buy 1 game, get another game for 50% off is on again for their Saturday specials - saw it in the Friday Ft. Wayne Paper

Damnit Lol.... I Just Quit Meijer Yesterday There Goes My 20% More Off.... Although I Should Go To A Different Meijer And Try It Out :)

Except that Meijer employees only get 10% off. Been that way for over 2 years now. And no discount on groceries or health and beauty, just general merhandise. Again, it has been that way for well over 2 years. And this is not a YMMV type of thing, this is all stores.

Well, I just had the games Hot Shots Golf Fore and Onimusha 3 gotten for me. I really wanted Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, but stupid Meijer was charging $49.99 for the game when it should only be $29.99 like everywhere else. Guess I'll have to buy it somewhere else.

I picked up 2 copie of Burnout 3. Already sold one for $43. I think the game is decent....not as great as everyone has said. Still a fun game to take up some time. Although, I'm currently engrossed in ESPN NFL & NHL 2K5
