Meijer buy 1 get 50% off another

I'm both happy and mad about this. I'm happy because I was expecting one this week, so I can buy a ton of new games. The bad news is, I badly wanted it on Thanksgiving because Meijer is much more empty on that day, so I wouldn't have to wait long.

Yeah, I believe that happened. I really hope something like that doesn't happen when I try to get games at Meijer.

Games I'm looking at are:
1. Baten Kaitos
2. DDR Ultramix 2
3. Ace Combat 5
4. Guilty Gear Isuka (if they got it in)
 
I asked this in the previous Meijer thread, but I never checked back for a response. How is their selection? Is it like Target or Walmart? I have never been to a Meijer, but now that I have one near me, I might check this out.

Stay away from lima that place is nuts. All of the gameboy packages sold out within 5 mins. Werid thing is noone was touching them over at the illinios road (they still had 30 of them at 9am) .... Well either way will find out tomorrow what games since the ad should be in tomorrows paper

The Meijer's I've been in (McHenry and Arlington Heights, IL) both have VERY good selections and prices.

Highly recommended.

Yep, always good selection here in Michigan....although, I think I may pass on this deal, nothing I REALLY want that bad right now.
 
I might check it out for the PC/GH/Platinum games. I hope they're updated.

Slidecage...to help out a fellow Hoosier, I think you mixed the words "trampled" and "stampeded" to create a new one.
 
Is it just console games, or PC games as well? Thinking about picking up Metal Gear 3 and Half Life 2 :)

as a question, does anyone know if i buy one of these games( the full price one) as a gift for my little brother if he wants to take it back does he have to pay the difference of the half price game, cause if so that would suck. anyone know the fine print?

Yes, they do carry pc games but they are excluded from the sale.

Lose the receipt. Then go in and tell them it was a gift. They will either let you exhange for a game of the same price or give you a gift card to be spent at the store.
 
so i just called meijer and they said that if you return the full price game then you dont have to pay the difference i could foresee this causing some shady returns

My and my friend were going to leave right now to go to Meijers but we can't. He's the RA in my dorm he can't leave till the front desk opens cause someone could be locked out and wouldn't be able to get in (We go to the University of Michigan so we'd be going to one of the two Meijers in Ann Arbor, or the one in Ypsilanti on Carpenter RD.). Now we have to wait till the mouring.


Oh yea, I need some suggestions on what I should get (I only have my Xbox and GBA SP on campus so try to suggest Xbox games only. I was going to get:

1.)Ghost Recon 2
2.)ESPN College Hoops 2K5
3.)Need for Speed Underground 2

I need some suggestions
 
I went to Meijer today and got two games my first trip.
Baten Kaitos
DDR Ultramix 2

Then, I went in an hour later and bought
Guilty Gear Isuka
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection

To tell you the truth, Meijer accidently put the wrong price on GGI, putting a $29.92 price tag on it. The game rang up as $48.88, but I told the employee the price tag said $29.92, so they changed the price. I got both GGI and SFAC for less than the price of GGI. :lol:
 
What one did you got to in fort wayne. the Lima road one was wipped out at 5am (sucks they sold all the GBA systems + 3 free games before 5am they were all sold out before 5am ) when the sale was to start

There was still a lot there when I went, but after I bought my copy of Baten Kaitos, there was only one left. It was busy at Meiher though, but it was mostly adults buying toys for their kids. I kept bumping into shopping carts today.

Also in Fort Wayne today, I went to the Best Buy in Jefferson Pointe and it was busy, but I guarntee the one in Northcrest Plaza was worse. I went to Toy's R Us and the line in the gaming department stretched on forever. I was about to go to Target, but you could see nothing but cars, so I said forget it. This all happened around 8:30-9:30am.
 
I just got Ghost Recon 2, Need for Speed Underground 2, and ESPN College Hoops 2K5 for $100.32. My boy is going back to get some stuff to. Plus they gave me a $10 off coupon on my next video game purchse.
