Wow, that's a really good package deal if you can swing the $400 + tax. Hopefully this is a sign that the deals on PS3 systems will be coming fast and frequent between now and the eventual price drop later in the year.
 
I was wondering why the fat kid at the store yesterday was putting out a stack of Warhawk games. He actually told me it was new release so I walked away on that note.

you forgot the free controller. And Ratchet and Clank is $30 alone..so the 2 free games would average at atleast $50.
 
Very YMMV, but you can get this deal at the stores. In Cinci, Ohio I went to Meijers on Sat. and asked if I could get the deal and the woman said it was online only. I went home and saw that the controller was out of stock and thought I was out of luck. I called customer service to see about the out of stock controller but they just told me to call back Monday because the guy in charge of the deal wouldn't be there until then. Not content to wait and let more stuff go out of stock I called the same store on Sunday and happened to get the Manager and he said that of course they would match the online deal and that they do it all the time. I quickly hopped down there and snickered as I walked by the same women who told me "No" with my 80gb, dual shock controller, Motorstorm2, Ratchet and CLank, Underworld and James Bond Blu-ray all for just over $400. Now that's a Father's Day gift :applause:By the way it was at the Westchester store that this happened.
 
Also for those that want to stick to online, they have added two other controllers beside the Duelshock which is still out of stock. They are Dreamgear Type R and the Dreamgear Shadow wireless controllers. Not as good but still a controller. Looks like they added Fuel to the games list also, as I don't remember that one being there.

I have to admit I'm tempted, but I'm forcing myself to wait until the fall to see if there really is going to be a price drop or PS3 Slim. I don't know what the odds of either of those things happening are, but I've waited this long, right? I can go a few more months without Blue Ray or knowing how MGS4 ends (I got pretty far playing at my friend's house).

But still, this is a pretty sweet deal and I'm jealous of anyone who takes advantage of it. Too bad I'm not a father, nor would my father want this as a present.

What the heck are you smoking? 30 bucks for 2 PS3 games? Please tell me where you are buying your stuff. If you pick up Ratchet and Pacific Rift, that is at least a $60 if not more, most stores still have these going for $50-60. The DS3 controller is like 40 bucks. 2 Blu-rays is going to be more expensive than $20, they usually run that much or more each. And why the hell would you only buy 100 bucks in food if you had a 20% off coupon?

For being a CAG, you are not very realistic or into saving money. You should be able to save 200+ bucks easily with this offer, if not more.
 
I just got back from Meijer in Findlay, Ohio and yes, this is a sweet deal. They did not have any of the games listed on display, although when I asked they did actually have them in-stock in the back. Which I was glad to hear, but also hoping if they didn't have them I could choose my own games.

$426 after tax, although even if there is a price drop all of the free stuff easily wins out.

I know meijer a lot of times has a 10/15% off general merchandise coupons. Any chance one of those are floating around right now? Combine that with the CC offer get all that for $300 and i would probably get a ps3 now.
 
Well, that didn't take long to sell out. I'll keep an eye on it incase they restock the controllers, but it seems they can't keep the controllers and games stocked on this one. Not surprising, of course.
 
If you don't already have the Meijer CC you could probably sign up and get 10% off, but if you already have it I believe your out of luck.
 
looks like they added some different controllers dreamGEAR
also removed some game choices and added others .... though someone elsewhere said if you look up Resistance: FOM and add it to your cart and then add this bundle Resistance comes up free

also there is a code that supposedly also works for 10% off of $200 WKADV09
 
don't be so sure a price drop is coming. Sony is just breaking even with the PS3 and I wouldn't be surprised if they did a bundle with an exclusive game and a $50 drop to $350, instead of a $100 drop. Get on this deal if you can get the games you want.
 
I wonder what the likelihood of a dual shock restock would be. I missed the first window and what's left, while nice because it's essentially free, is still not very enticing.
 
right now theres a very good deal with this. they restocked some of the games , added tiger woods 10, and added a wireless lavaflow controller with rumble. its no ds3, but its not horrible. also if you use coupon code wkadv09 its 10% off and brings the total to 400.11. $40 off!

i know there was a free shipping code going, but this is way better. 40$ off as opposed to 13$ :) im prolly gonna go for it.

plus, if you dont want tiger woods 10, you could sell it on ebay. theyre fetching 50 bones right now :)
 
Looks like they restocked the dualshock controllers, so jump on it if you were on the fence.

I'm personally not interested in any of the games, so I'll probably just get the next PS3 on Dell sale and use the savings to buy a controller and game.
 
System is now out of stock... However, they added FEAR 2 to the list of games as well as Tiger Woods 10 as someone else mentioned.

I am going to try my luck in store tomorrow seeing as it will end up being about 100 bucks for all this stuff for me since I just received my Playstation Card and am going to end up getting 300 back as well.
