I was in my local meijers and saw this sign posted on Every game case in the store. It ran until the end of this week.

I had thought it was just a super saturday sale but guess its not...

Hopefully this is nt a double post.
Probably not since they only exist in 5 states. Maybe I'll see if they have anything worthwile.
Believe it or not there are a few Michiganders on the board.

I am trying to spread the Meijer love.

I know I'm from southeast Michigan, was just saying no one else had probably thrown it up yet since it wouldn't be all over.

I love being able to go to Meijer at 3am so maybe I will tonight, though it'll probably take an hour to get someone to come get stuff out of the case. Thinking maybe Burnout 3 and Mercenaries, but I'm not sure I want to spend $75 maybe I'll pick up so cheaper titles.

They price match too, so if you are getting Mercenaries have them price match CC's ad before you get the BOGO50%off. Try to get another $39.99 game

Hmm, had no idea Meijer did price matching. If I didn't have Halo 2 already I'd use that price match and half off to get it like $19, CompUSA price match of $38 half off to $19. Could get that and something else on sale for anyone who still doesn't have it.

I doubt they will price match AND give the 50% off. there's some fine print about combining deals and/or games at regular price. I've never been able to do it.
The front page says right at the bottom that it is 1 day only, and that day was January 17.
The one you are referring to on the front page is 25% off any video game. The week long one that this thread is refering to is the buy one get one 50% off.

I took advantage of this deal last time when Burnout 3 just was release. I bought two copies, 1 to EBAY...so I got some money back. It was a decent deal....

I'm hoping Meijer gets in Suikoden IV, because I want that game along with Sly 2 during this sale. I'm going to send a parent to check for me either tonight or tomarrow, since I'm at college right now.

I went there tonight and I had forgotten how much I hate trying to buy games at Meijer. Everything is in the glass cases, and 90% of the games price isn't visible. That's if they're tagged at all. So I ended up giving up and going home since I didn't feel like making a clerk spend 2 hours scanning every unmarked game, especially since it was an old guy who probably wouldn't be much help anyway. :(

A large part of your success doing this is going to be the cashier you get to ring you up. Personally, (being a cashier at Meijer), if the register still rings up the 50% off after doing the price match, I have no problems letting the games go through. But, you might get some crap if the price match requires a supervisor override. Again, success is going to be determined by who the supervisor is at the time. Guidelines for an override are going to be >$5.00 difference (might be less at the counter where the game cases are), and you'll need the ad to PM to. Good luck!

No huge price cuts, but their prices are a few cents cheaper for most games if you're looking to save a penny or two. $49.85 for RE4 among other recent releases and $49.57 for MGS3. Odd type of pricing.

This still averages out to around $37.50 a game plus tax. Unless a game is dollars below MSRP, this isn't that great of a deal.
