Next weekend's Super Sale ad has a coupon for 15% off general merchandise with a $40 purchase, as well as buy one game, get one of equal or lesser value 50% off, effective friday, 1/27, ending saturday, 1/28. The coupon will stack with BOGO50%, and the coupons will appear on Super Sale flyers which may be put in stores as early as this sunday.

Steve, they do have plenty of DOA4 in stock. I was at the one on 96th near Fry's. Take that printed coupon and see if the cashier gives you a funny look ;)
 
Well, my Meijer on Hall RD in MI had just about EVERY 360 game (except NHL, which was the one I wanted). I'll wait on that though....I don't really have $80 to spend on two games, even if IT's a good deal.

The Meijer in Avon had plenty of all the 360 games. I bought Animal Crossing and couldn't find another $35 game I wanted so I just got a second copy of Animal Crossing. Probably trade it off unless my wife and I both like the game and want our own copies.
 
360 Core system + CoD2 and DOA4 = 351...after tax. God bless Meijer.

I wanted a Core anyway since I don't like how the Premium looks...was just waiting for a deal on one so I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off when I bought the good cables and hard drive.

Picked up a GBA SP at the store in Avon using the 15% off coupon to replace the one my son recently had stolen from him... and yep like stated they had 360 games in stock no problems... didn't need to pick any up myself as I just got 3 360 games in my shipment from Microsoft retail today for a substantial discount.

Just a question, what do you mean how it looks? Do you mean the box? I thought they looked the same otherwise?

What he means is when you get a Premium it has a chrome coding on the disk tray as where the Core has a plain white finish that matches with the rest of the console.

At my local Meijer, the 360 NHL 2K6 games were hidden behind the original Xbox version of the game in the display case.

$38.25 per 360 game (plus tax) is still hard to handle when I rarely purchase games over $15 unless it's something I really want. A savings of 36% is pretty darn decent, though.

There's not much difference between Wal-Mart and Meijer...if you are thinking one is somehow less evil than the other then you're way off. In fact, in me experience, Wal-Mart is actually easier to deal with and has the better return policy.
 
meijers pissed me off big time yesterday


I go in and pick nba live 2006 and nascar 2006 Both of these games have dropped to 29.99..... walked up to the cashier and they ring up 39.99 each..

Me: Ea dropped these both to 29.99
Cashier: they are ringing up 39.99 and that is the price ea charges
Me: well everyone else including Ea dropped the price

Calls manager

manger: whats the problem
Cashier: hes saying the prices fell
manger: we dont want your business anymore , we are tired of dealing with you please leave .

told them fine i will just call up the 800 number and complain

manager: you do that and after your done calling Never come back into the store. This is my store and I do not care what the idoits on the 800 line say


so i left the store.. manager is pissed cause few months ago i made them sell me a digital scale for 9.99 what it showed in the ad (though it was posted at 49.99 in the store) their excuss was the ad was saying that another scale was 9.99 but right in the picture it showed the 50 buck one....

so screw meijers
 
wish this deal happened late feb so i could get black and 24 the game with this deal...oh well...maybe i'll pick up a second x-box with the 15% off...thanks

a list price does not mean a store has to charge you that price. clearly you must have pissed off the manager in more ways than one and for some reason I am not surprised (btw I am thinking if you attribute this to the purchase of a scale, you must have tried buying like 10 at the 9.99 price instead of one)

I am in complete agreement, I work at store 72 and I absolutely hate it when people say it like that.

nope just got one scale... i think what pissed off the manager is i went up with the ad and he said that he wouldnt honor it , then i went over their head to the 800 line and they forced the manager to honor the ad.. i think that is what pissed him off..

seems to done me a favor though, just got nba live 2006 by gamefly and really dont like it ... saved me 30 bucks

I'm not a fan of the chrome-ish stuff on the premium system, including the drive tray. Just looks cheap and kind of cheesy to me (also doesn't look as good with some of the faceplates). Is it a reason to not buy the system if you found a deal on it? Hell no, but since I found a deal on the Core, it worked out well. Nothing to lose sleep over either way, but it was a nice perk for me.

The Belleville store? I used to go to that store a lot when I lived in Canton (because of I275 to I94) it was actually quicker to get to than the Canton store - no stop lights. Except for the store has NO cell phone reception once you walk in, I used to love going to that store because it seemed like that store had games I was looking for when the other Meijer stores did not.
