Memorial Day sales on HDTVs?

It doesn't have 720p, which some consider to be higher quality than 1080i. When I got my HDTV I decided on a TV without 720p, the price point was right and I couldn't pass it up. If I could not have gotten it at the price then I would have waited and gotten 720p. If possible, try to find it at a local retailer and check out the picture quality first hand, ask them to play a DVD on it and, if possible, some HDTV broadcast.

The Philips outlet will have a 30 inch for $359 from time to time, which is a good deal. I think you could do better for $767 though.

I dont know anything about hdtvs, but am interested for next-gen. consoles. This one seems ok, altho its only says 480p (does that mean it only supports that, not 1080i/p or 720p?, and most dont say anything about this?)[/QUOTE]

I don't think there are any CRT HDTVs that do 720p. I'm fairly certain that feature is limited to LCDs and Plasmas.
