Memory stick size, game saves vs. media?

I'm planning to pick up a PSP soon and wondering what size memory stick I'll need. Do you only need the larger sizes for storing a lot of media? I don't plan to use the memory for music or videos or anything other than game saves. Space for around 15 to 20 games would be great.

A 1 GB stick would be more than enough for saves. However, if you're going to get custom firmware for your PSP, you should get a 4 GB stick. Larger sticks are prone to having issues. Also, in my experience, Sandisk is best quality.

Well. ONE savestate costs 250 - 800 kB depending on the game.
If just looking for a memory card, a 1GB will be more than enough.

I got a 512MB card for my PSP when I purchased it- because I too only intended to use it for saves. 512MB should be plenty for that kind of stuff. Nevertheless I ended up purchasing a 4GB card because it was on sale for $20 (should have bought two!) and I use that to store movies and music on. To be honest I found myself using the audio/video/wireless features of the PSP more than I originally thought I would- so if you happen across a cheap 4GB card I'd say go for it.
