NEX & Wireless Controllers - $49.99

Now, I wouldn't necessarily call this a really cheapass deal, but I've not really seen these controllers anywhere cheaper than $60, even on Amazon.com and buymessiah.com.

The NEX clone is crap unfortunately, but the wireless controllers are quality in my opinion. They've got very good range, have decent battery life on two AAAs, and both the NES and SNES LEs come with the Controllers AND recievers, so they can be played on any NES or SNES system. The $50 NES wireless controllers on Messiah's site don't come with the recievers as they have to purchased separately. The circular D-pad takes a bit of getting used to, but anyone who played with an NES Max back in the day should probably feel right at home.

Unfortunately, even the cheapest shipping option pretty much negates the $10 discount, but I figured this was worth posting for anyone looking for some quality classic wireless controllers for NES or SNES. I bought from the site and got my SNES controllers no problem, and it is a Yahoo store, so it's legit as far as I can tell.

I'm really interested in the SNES wireless controllers, but the price is so damn steep that I've never pulled the trigger on them. I keep hoping to find a cheaper deal ($30+shipping, maybe?), but it hasn't happened yet.

Decent price since they are the limited edition. Limited edition meaning they come in that lunchbox thing. The site is on the level though, they are fairly well known in the DDR community. Shipping kills it for me though.

Now if I could only find me some wireless dreamcast and saturn controllers.

Wow, when Rhino went out of business around here, Gamestop made them convert all their classic inventory into used items - so I was able to pick up a pair of the NES wireless controllers for 2 bucks.

I still think I paid too much. The d-pad is horrible, and the start and select aren't real buttons - they're like a laptop's mousepad - which is really, really odd. I'd pass on this one, even for the convenience of wireless NES pads.
doesn't gamecrazy have these for about $50?
They do but they don't come with the adapters. So they only work on the crappy messiah console and not the original nes. If anyone knows a cheap place to buy the adapters then it might be worth checking out

My experience has been the opposite of the OP. I have the NEX and it works great on every game but Castlevania 3. I tried the wireless controllers and they kept cutting out randomly. Ninja Gaiden and Contra are not games you can tolerate the signal cutting out sometimes. This was at 10 feet with nothing in between the console and the controller and both controllers were like this. I returned them the next day.
