I just finished playing MGS2 on PS2 and it was really amazing. I know I'm a little behind most of the bunch, but I just had to jump on it for $5. Now I'm looking for the first one, and its either way too expensive or not in stock. Anyone know of any places to get it? I'm bidding on ebay, but that's not really a good thing. If you have it in good condition, I'm also willing to buy it from here...

If you have a gcube, just buy MGS The twin snakes. It's a better port with better graphics, and can be easily found for about 10 bucs.

God no. The remake was nowhere near as good as the original. The gameplay elements from MGS 2 simply did not mix well with MGS 1's level design. The music in the remake sucks, you miss out on many interesting foreign accents (which is a surprisingly disappointing feature of the GC remake), and there's slowdown in several parts of the game. The first person aiming makes some boss fights a joke as well, so you miss out on what was formerly a great part of the game. The only good thing about the remake is that it has some pretty slick cinematics, but that can't make up for the rest of the remake's downfalls.

My local blockbuster has a used copy for sale. Pretty cheap I think but I don't remember. I'll try checking on the price for you. I'd sell at cost + shipping.

Where can you find Twin Snakes for $10?

According to Gamestop's online inventory search, every other Gamestop or EB within 50 miles of here has one. I would consider checking there.
