Okay, I played Metal Slug for the first time ever today (don't know why I never played it) and I'm hooked. I want the Anthology for the PSP, but I only see it available from retailers on Amazon for around $70.

How come the PSP version is so rare when I can find copies for the Wii clogging the shelves at pretty much every store? I mean you would think they would have produced enough copies for the PSP to go around.
 
I dunno. I had no idea it had gotten hard to find. Although now that I think about it, I haven't really seen it around since I bought the PS2 version back at launch.
 
I remember I couldn't find a copy anywhere of it on the PSP when it was released, I'd say look for it on eBay. That's where I got my copy.

I still have my copy. I might eventually sell it since I never play it (only played it the first week I got it back in April or so). I'll think about it though.
 
I wish I could find a psp copy. I've had not luck finding a Wii, PSP or PS2 copy anywhere. Around my town, the game in general is just really hard to find. When CC dropped the price of the Wii version to $16.96, no copies where to be found.

I've still seen a copy of the PS2 version for sure, but I'll look around. If I see a few Wii copies cheap, I might look into picking some up for people (if they want it).
 
I didn't even know there was a PSP port until I saw it on Goozex when I inadvertently added that instead of the PS2 copy, about 2 weeks ago.

I've never seen it on any shelves. PSP sections seem to keep shrinking at all my B&M stores outside of Gamestop, too.
 
Yeah, I planned on getting the PSP version eventually, but I didn't know it had become scarce.. The Wii version btw is pretty bad. There aren't any logical control setups that don't either require waggle or some awkward setup.
 
Heh. This POS game is rare now? Not surprised.

I absolutly adore the MS franchise in it's entirity but those damn load times fucking kill the fun. If you own a Slim could you tell me how fast the load times are on that?

I got it for $26 at gamecrazy today. The load times are frequent, but not bad enough to really complain about. I played through most of MS3 just before. It'll probably be better when I put it on the memory stick.

Loads happen the first time you switch characters while continuing, and whenever you enter an area with a new background.

Legally, the PS2 version is probably your best bet.

Otherwise, there are arcade emulators although I dunno if anyone has emulated the board that MS6 runs on.

Nah not yet. May be a long while before that happens.

Can't wait to see how MS7 is shaping up.
 
Try Gamestop I got my copy there for $34.99 about a month ago. I can understand why its hard to find but I dont think its "rare" by any means. If you want it bad enough you'll find it.
